Position Summary:
The Strategic Training Lead – International is a senior strategic role, weighted toward defining and governing the international training framework, content architecture and senior stakeholder model, with the ability to step confidently into direct training facilitation where international regions lack dedicated local trainers.
This role's primary function and accountability is to define and govern the international training framework, content architecture and tools model – setting enterprise-wide standards, scalable learning architecture and consistent ways of working aligned to brand and commercial priorities.
A core part of the role is senior stakeholder leadership, acting as the primary point of connection with senior leaders across the Global Enterprise, regional sales and training teams, Trade Partners, Miami training and brand teams, L&D and external vendors and partners to drive governance, alignment, adoption and clear ownership at a senior level.
A meaningful part of the role also involves direct training facilitation — primarily trade and travel partner facing, with train-the-trainer support for internal sales teams — applied selectively in international markets where there is no local training resource or where senior-level control is required to support strategic launches, capability recovery or priority execution. This is a deliberately targeted training, distinct from and complementary to dedicated in-market training facilitation roles.
PRIMARY SCOPE: All International markets outside of North America, including EMEA, APAC and LACAR, with accountability spanning three core areas: ownership of the international training framework, content architecture and tools model; senior stakeholder leadership and governance across key partner groups, including external vendors; and targeted, senior-level training facilitation — primarily trade and travel partner facing, with train-the-trainer support for internal sales teams — in markets without local training resource.
CORE AUDIENCES: International Leadership Team, Trade and Travel Partners, Regional sales and training stakeholders across international markets, Internal commercial teams across international markets, Miami training and brand teams, L&D leadership, External vendors and partners
DELIVERY MODEL:
This is a strategy-led role, leading by default through frameworks, governance, tools, content architecture and senior stakeholder alignment. Direct delivery — primarily trade and travel partner facing, with train-the-trainer support for internal sales teams — is a deliberately targeted, senior-level element of the role, applied selectively where markets do not have local resource or where a strategic rollout requires senior-level central execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
STRATEGIC TRAINING FRAMEWORK, TOOLS & CONTENT:
- Define and own the international training strategy and roadmap across markets outside North America.
- Establish frameworks, standards, governance and learning principles that create consistency across international markets.
- Own the international content model, training tools and learning architecture, including modular programs, toolkits and scalable assets.
- Build and maintain a centralized international training library and content flow process for product, brand and launch updates.
- Ensure training priorities are aligned to broader commercial goals, premium brand positioning and business capability needs.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT & GLOBAL ALIGNMENT:
- Act as the primary strategic interface with senior leaders across the International Leadership Team, Miami training and brand teams, L&D leadership and external vendors and partners, representing training strategy and governance at a senior stakeholder level.
- Lead alignment on training priorities, content flows, rollout planning and role clarity across stakeholder groups.
- Enable markets to adopt and localize training within agreed guardrails while providing coaching, guidance and support to improve execution quality.
- Represent international market needs and best practice in global discussions, ensuring two-way feedback between markets and Miami.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders during transition periods to define practical hand-offs, ownership boundaries and sustainable operating models.
- Own commercial and performance management of external training vendors and agencies, including scoping, contracting, budget oversight and quality control.
TRAINING DELIVERY & EXECUTION:
- Deliver trade and travel partner-facing training directly in markets where there is no local market resource or where central delivery is required to support business priorities.
- Lead strategic rollouts, launch support and capability recovery initiatives where tighter control or consistency is needed.
- Use remote-first and scalable delivery approaches wherever possible, while remaining flexible to support live sessions across multiple time zones.
- Pilot new formats, tools and delivery methods before broader market scale-up.
- Track adoption, quality and impact to ensure delivery remains effective and aligned to strategic intent.
- Support internal sales team capability through train-the-trainer models where appropriate, in partnership with L&D.
INNOVATION, MEASUREMENT & GOVERNANCE:
- Lead the innovation agenda across international training, including digital learning evolution, modern formats and AI-enabled support within approved tools and guidelines.
- Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to track adoption, consistency, effectiveness and business impact.
- Benchmark internally and externally to keep the international training approach future-fit and commercially relevant.
- Ensure strong governance, quality control and one consistent Celebrity approach to training across international markets.
What We’d Love You To Have:
- Minimum 5-7+ years in training, enablement or learning strategy roles, including demonstrable experience operating at a senior/strategic level
- Experience in a large matrix organization preferable
Experience working across both strategy and delivery in a hybrid training or enablement role desirable - Proven experience managing external agencies, vendors or suppliers for digital learning content, including commercial and performance oversight
- Experience shaping content standards, governance or learning platform changes desirable
- CIPD, learning or training qualification desirable
Experience managing budgets and measurement frameworks
