Analyst, Sr Logistics Finance

Summary:
This position is primarily responsible to plan budgets and forecasts using historical data, projections, and analytical support. This position will also require review and approval of invoices and analyzing financial data for use in maintaining budgets. The position will be involved in drafting, updating and publishing the master loading schedule for all vessels which includes coordinating with carriers, internal transportation, Port Operations and other Supply Chain departments. The position supports the Logistics operations group by providing oversight of freight financial information, data reports and metrics.

 

NOTE: This is a full-time in-person role based in the company’s headquarters in Weston. Applicants must be available to work in Miami, FL Monday – Thursday, with work from home on Friday.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly forecasts and variance analyses to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Facilitate meetings with suppliers to review invoices and correct errors in invoicing.
  • Oversee coordinators and provide support for challenges they encounter.
  • Assist in ensuring logistics invoices are processed in compliance with Corporate Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Anti-Bribery due diligence requirements. 
  • Analyze freight financial plans and forecasts while preparing evaluations and reports accordingly.
  • Draft and maintain master loading schedule for all vessels. This entails working with transportation carriers, internal transportation, purchasing, Port Operations, third party logistics partners and other internal departments to ensure the schedule meets the needs of the operations both shoreside and shipboard. 
  • Maintain the related inputs to MLS database and/or Excel files, support introduction of MLS tools, interfaces, and work on consolidation with RCCL corporate systems. 
  • Provide analytical support to enhance savings and efficiencies for an expanding Logistics department.
  • Lead special projects and work with specially formed teams to represent or support the overall Logistics operations team.
  • Develop and maintain an extensive metric and management reporting process to improve visibility and accountability.
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze and prepare recommendations regarding budgets and forecasts.
  • Must have the ability to work on projects independently

Financial Responsibilities

  • Review and approve invoices as per internal audit standards.
  • Experience in multiple currency processing preferred.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar software preferred.
  • $40M+ Logistics Freight Budget 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance or accounting preferred. 
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in accounting, finance or analytics preferred.
  • Strong skills in problem resolution required. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Microsoft PowerPoint knowledge preferred
  • Power BI Knowledge Preferred
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in budget, analysis and presentations
