Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises’ Bermuda entity has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Lead, Accounting reporting to the President of Celebrity River Cruises.
This position works on-site in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Position Summary:
The Accounting Lead is responsible for establishing and leading the accounting operations for Celebrity River Cruises’ Bermuda entity while supporting accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for the Basel, Switzerland office. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, maintenance of effective internal controls, compliance with local statutory requirements, and the development of scalable accounting processes to support the growth of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Bermuda operations and support accounting activities for Basel.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet substantiation.
- Support Swiss statutory reporting and local compliance requirements for the Basel office.
- Coordinate accounting activities related to Basel-based employees, vendors, and operating expenses.
- Partner with local advisors and service providers supporting Basel operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
- Oversee vendor payment processes and banking administration activities.
- Support cash management, treasury, payroll accounting, and employee-related accounting activities.
- Develop scalable accounting processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Serve as a key finance partner to leadership in Bermuda and Basel.
- Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Treasury, Legal, and Tax teams to support entity setup, employee onboarding, banking administration, benefits administration, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional designation preferred.
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience supporting international entities and multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, audits, controls, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance in international environments.
- Experience coordinating accounting activities across different legal entities preferred.
- Cruise, hospitality, travel, or multinational experience preferred.
