The Royal Caribbean Group’s Trade Sales & Service CCI Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time FTE reporting to the Supv, Groups

Position Summary:

Ship Liaison is responsible for proactively managing relationships with various shore side departments and key onboard personnel.  The liaison is also responsible for overseeing amenity reviews and AffairWhere application as assigned by ship. Also serves as the primary shore side contact for Onboard Event Coordinators, and is responsible for problem resolution and support. Liaison will work to ensure all onboard programs are confirmed prior to sailing, and supports shore side team with amendments and revisions of existing onboard arrangements. Additionally, the Ship Liaison will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring successful execution of group programs through The Wedding Experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Liaison with other departments: Hotel Operations, Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Casino Operations, Onboard Revenue, Marine Operations, etc. to provide best possible customized onboard experience for Celebrity Group business.  Works with Partner Advocates when unusual requests are presented.  Responds to all written correspondence, emails, and phone messages within 24 hours.  Clearly explains onboard arrangements in order to prevent miscommunication between Celebrity and the travel partners.  Researches logistics and costs of amenity requests and is responsible for communicating verbally and in written form to all supporting departments in relation to group amenity/function requests. Conduct final amenity reviews at prelim and voyage sailing reports to ensure accuracy and provide necessary feedback to ship and Partner Advocate before and after each sailing.  Schedules and completes regular conference calls with the assigned Onboard Event Coordinator to review upcoming groups and ensure seamless delivery of promised group programs.  Support incoming phone calls for Group Sales and Support.  Work closely with The Wedding team to coordinate wedding group events and functions and schedule them appropriately in AffairWhere.   Performs other duties as required. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.  Financial Responsibilities: Celebrity Ship Liaison is responsible for ensuring accurate pricing for onboard amenities and products.  Negotiates with internal departments to accurately price unique and custom offerings as requested.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.  Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with department heads, shipboard staff, Partner Advocates, and various other shore side staff.   Two years of experience working with Groups preferred at least one year experience as a Partner Advocate or related role

Knowledge and Skills: Ability to write reports, memos and business correspondence.  Ability to read and comprehend complicated instructions, shore correspondence, memos and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.  Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external/internal customers at all levels.  Ability to build and maintain successful business relations.  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram from.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
