JOB SUMMARY:

As the Trade Marketing executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and innovative trade marketing plan for Royal Caribbean. You will also work closely with the Sales team to provide marketing support and deliver agreed initiative with travel partners whilst achieving passenger and revenue targets. You will also be responsible for supporting the ’through-the-line’ execution of all AUNZ Trade marketing activity.  Responsible for the day-to-day planning and implementation of all Trade campaign activities and communications, managing creative and internal design studios, and at times media agencies, to develop and deliver impactful Trade Press, POS tools and DM Mailings for online & offline, ensuring new news, offers and campaign information is distributed in a timely and relevant way and in line with strategy.  

 

Some of your duties include:   

  • Work very closely with Brand Manager to ensure that the trade marketing plan goes hand in glove with consumer campaigns, creative and messaging.  
  • Implement a revised and comprehensive co-op marketing plan and procedures and produce co-op guidelines for both internal and external usage 
  • Train the Sales Team and our key accounts on the co-op procedures and guidelines and ensure complete co-ordination of all co-op activity in both regional and national press 
  • Work with the Trade Communications and Support Manager, Digital Product Manager, Marketing and Revenue Management Teams to implement and execute annual marketing campaigns for Key accounts.  
  • Responsible for ensuring that our trade training program is on brand and continuously being refreshed and is an award-winning program. 
  • Work closely with Trade Communications and Support Manager and the Revenue Management team to execute campaigns to drive key sailing opportunities and communicate them effectively to all the Sales Team and our trade partners. 
  • Trade Media and Advertising: based on agreed cooperative marketing and media plans, work with Trade partners and their agencies to create agreed channel advertising and ensure all deadlines are respected. 
  • Trade Website: in charge of updating the content of Cruising Power (travel agency website) and other Trade web assets, via the CMS, making sure all offers, company information and news are always up to date.  
  • Travel Agency Sales and Marketing Toolkit: day to day supervision of the trade portal,  where all our campaigns and brand templates are available for Trade partners to download and use for local campaigns. Work closely with Trade support team to make sure the toolkit contains the most relevant information for the trade. 
  • Email Marketing:  work with business stakeholder’s team to build trade emails on a weekly basis and ensure email content calendar is always relevant and in line with the current promotions.  
  • Social Media: Ownership of any Trade based social media content and activity as well as overseeing Facebook pages. 
  • Marketing Communications/Trade collateral: responsibility for briefing new campaign requiring B2B or B2B2C adaptation. Creation of Trade or consumer facing flyers, Banners, POS, Copy and creative assets for the sales and marketing toolkit. To execute bespoke campaigns and marketing support for top trade accounts.   
  • Support Trade loyalty and incentive activities – work with the Trade Loyalty Manager to support marketing communication collateral and trade press adverts to support the trade loyalty programs. 
  • Analytics: responsible for post campaign reporting, running weekly stats on trade campaign and digital performances. Provide monthly competitive analysis and trade update report and make recommendations accordingly. 
  • Trade PR - Work closely with the PR team to assist them in putting together a comprehensive trade press plan to maximise trade press coverage 
  • Expos and Trade Shows -Provide sales support with appropriate trade marketing material and tools for key trade events and roadshows. 
  • Budget: To support the day-to-day management of the trade marketing budget by ensuring that POs are raised, and budget monitoring sheets updated. 
  • CRM – Assist with the management of salesforce CRM to record client data. 
  • Research – Develop and execute annual Trade research survey.   
  • To work particularly closely with the sales support team to ensure there is integration and synergy with all communications going out. 

 

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:   

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience working within a B2B or B2B2C marketing environment. 
  • Educated to a degree level with a professional qualification in marketing or equivalent experience.  
  • Proven ability to manage and implement marketing campaigns, including press, POS, DM, digital (mainly social) 
  • Agency management experience 
  • Demonstrated success in implementing trade marketing plans, based on analysis of trade insights  
  • Travel industry experience essential
