As the Trade Communications and Support Manager you are an organized, enthusiastic, and strong-minded individual. The Royal brand is at the core of everything you do. This includes continuous improvement in the engagement and processes experienced by trade partners while doing business with our brand. As an organized and proactive individual, you will manage and support all trade communications while being the main lead for the growth and development of trade distribution channels throughout Australia and New Zealand. With the love of all things detail, you will enjoy managing trade websites along with the integrity of trade-related data across multiple systems.

  

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

 

  • Strategic Sales Support – provides support to the Strategic Sales team, overseeing the distribution of promotional materials and collateral.  Assist in Sales team-related projects and evaluate Trade Support processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness for Trade Partners.
  • Brand and Trade Communications – understand the brand’s key differentiators, competitors, pillars, and target markets to ensure all sales activities and training are aligned with brand strategy.  Work with the Marketing team on localised content and oversee the weekly Trade Marketing Update. Liaise with International Trade Support teams on Trade Marketing content, localising where required for AUNZ. Collaborate with Marketing to assist in developing a comprehensive trade comms plan across email, social and PR touchpoints, aligning with brand and revenue focus. Review and approve Trade Co-op ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand guidelines and strategy.
  • Trade Websites – manage and update the content of Cruising Power (travel agency website) and Homeport trade portal ensuring all offers, company information, trade assets and news are always up to date. Provide reporting on trade channel engagement, conducting regular reviews of the trade journey ensuring alignment with the needs of Trade Partners and the Sales team. Manage and localise content of Loyal to You Always (trade training platform) and Royal content on the CLIA portal. Manage trade reward incentives ensuring compliant with brand policies and AUNZ consumer laws.
  • Data Integrity – set up new Trade Partners and maintain accurate and timely agent records in all systems and trade databases. Collaborate with the Commercial Analyst on sales reporting to ensure AS400 hierarchy is accurate and reflected in BI Sales Dashboard. Assist with administration and support for Salesforce. Ensure commission plans are accurate and up to date. Works collaboratively with Celebrity Sales Support on Royal Caribbean Group (RCG) data and I.T projects. Ensure the Sales team are informed of updates and amendments.
  • Change Management Comms – work with key internal stakeholders locally and internationally to ensure all trade communications relating to suspensions, Cruise with Confidence and Return to Service are kept up to date, localised for AUNZ and communicated through the respective channels.
  • Expos and Trade Shows – liase with Marketing and provide Sales with appropriate trade marketing material and tools for trade events and roadshows.
  • Trade Events – support the Director of Sales and Senior Sales Managers to plan and execute state and national based trade partner and industry events. Attend trade and consumer events as required.

  

QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  

  • Commercial and creative thinking with a pragmatic approach
  • Proven experience of creating and presenting sales and marketing information
  • Strong relationship building and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in a senior operational role within the travel industry
  • In depth knowledge of travel trade operations, booking tools and trade sales platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to find creative and cost-effective solutions.  
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders across a matrix structure organisation
  • Experience in leading projects and driving change
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive adoption of new systems and processes
