Mgr, Business Development

Position Summary / Job Purpose:

 

With the guidance of company strategy and policies, develop and manage the distribution channels of travel agents in the designated territory; promoting royal Caribbean's home port and overseas holiday products to consumers through the distribution channels, and enhancing Royal Caribbean's brand awareness and reputation in the market.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. With the guidance of company strategy, develop terrioty business plan (including sign up new PSR agreements) in the assigned territory and reach assigned targets of both short term and long term.

2. Maintain and manage good relationship with travel agents, develop a cruise selling team under each travel agent.

3. Conduct regular sales meetings and calls to travel agents and the outlets, educate travel agents on brand/product knowledge, promotion and selling tools, provide professional training on booking system (espresso)  and information update if any, to achieve assigned sales target.

4. Communicate price and promotion (brand offer, Flash sales) , B-B engagement / incentive campaign and B-C marketing campaign with trade in a timely manner, engaging and participating in trade sell out activities organization and execution in order to successfully reach out sell-out target.

5. Work together with trade partners to source business opportunities and develop proactive and effective sales campaigns, ensuring co-op funds are invested in areas that give us the greatest return on investment.

6. Follow up and follow through on travel agents’ booking request, payment, names submission and any other needed activities to ensure compliance with relevant operational and financial policy.

7. Participate in trade training program design and development & act as trainer in livestream and on-site trade training

8. Partners up with internal team in the coordination and execution of corporate team events, trade related events such as ship tours, FAM training functions, and Seminars at Sea.

9. Generating new business, select right trade partners and develop an optimal size and structure of the distribution network comprising of PSAs and non-PSAs which is adequate to deliver the personal pax and revenue targets.

10. Periodically collect and generates reports in areas of general market trend, competitor intelligence, consumer insights.

11. Performs other duties as required.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

 

Education: Bachelor degree above

= 5years working experience

Previous sales experience of travel agent, airlines, hotel or FMCG industry is preferred;
