Analyst, Revenue

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Revenue Analyst is responsible for the maximization of Net Ticket Revenue and achieving the overall business plan for the Royal Caribbean brand for the Greater China market. As part of the revenue management team, the revenue analyst will help determine pricing and promotion strategy, optimize inventory and work cross team to seek better profitability and revenue opportunities.  The role will focus on the use of revenue reporting and other analysis to understand key dynamics in the booking and pricing cycle and follow up with recommendations for change that will support Royal Caribbean International’s targets and strategic growth.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•            Revenue Reporting: Develop, maintain, and refresh revenue reports and analytical tools which track historic and current booking performance versus target for the Royal Caribbean International brand in China. Provide insightful commentary to the Management Team on booking statistics and trends and make recommendations to maximize revenue and volume as well as identify opportunities for process improvement.

•            Pricing: Help develop strategic and tactical pricing for the regionally managed Royal Caribbean ships to ensure that revenue targets are achieved.  Constant price review and adjustment for each ship, sailing, category, market level to maximize ticket revenue and profitability.  Besides, understand implications of currency changes and alter market specific pricing to optimize sourcing mix.

•            Inventory Management: Responsible for the management and optimization of stateroom inventory for 1 ship based in Tianjin.

•            International Liaison: work with Miami head office and the global Revenue Management network to problem solve and share best practice.

•            Market: Actively gather useful market intelligence to understand competitor price and promotion strategy. Report on competitor activity to Management Team.

•            Projects: Ad hoc analyses and projects to support the strategic growth of the company.

•            2-3 years in an analytical role

•            Educated to degree level standard or similar, ideally in a commercial field

•            Able to demonstrate understanding of revenue management concepts and tools or basic economics

•            Strong quantitative/data analysis skills

•            MS Excel to Intermediate or Advanced level.

•            Highly motivated with initiative

•            Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

•            Well organized with strong attention to detail

•            Strong verbal and written communication skills.

•            A team player, approachable and helpful

•            Desire to work in a growing company

•            Experience in a similar revenue management type role (e.g. Airline/hotel/FMCG service industry knowledge) would be beneficial
