Sales Manager, NSW & ACT

Reporting to the Director of Sales Australia and New Zealand, the position is responsible for implementing strategic business development across trade initiatives and business partnerships in NSW and ACT to support revenue growth in the region. The person will work very closely with local area sales teams, commercial planning and other departments to implement activities supporting profitable revenue generation and strengthening Silversea leadership position in the market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement partnership/alliances opportunities to strengthen Silversea revenue generating capabilities and market position across NSW and ACT.

Develop and implement robust strategic sales strategies to achieve company targets and expand our customer base.

Prepare sales reports and forecasts for Director of Sales and management, analysing sales data to inform decision-making across portfolio.

Support activations, visibility and reach of Silversea products within the trade channel across NSW and ACT by ongoing training and education of trade partners as well as securing win-win deals and activities.

Drive development and implementation of differentiated service and value proposition opportunities that align with Silversea commercial strategic objectives.

Support area sales teams in activating new agencies as well as accelerating growth of existing partners through collaboration and developing strategic commercial concepts and activities in order to develop increased sales.

Drive NSW and ACT trade channel in selecting and marketing the right opportunities and products to maximize sales; provide a hands-on training and educational programs to key partners.

Be a subject matter expert in the area of both classic and expedition sales and have a strong focus on sales development; grow agency base selling both classic and expedition product through education and implementation of commercial sales strategy plans.

Support area sales teams in driving strategic/high value group business by coordinating the set-up and fulfillment of such business (groups, space contracts, charters) across NSW and ACT.

Together with Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand identify and capture opportunities for charters and space contracts.

Project manage and drive strategic initiatives as defined by Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand.

Work with Director of Sales, Australia and New Zealand on setting up effective sales campaigns and sales tools to accelerate growth of the trade channel across NSW and ACT.

Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during all sales activities.

Undertake activities with trade partners and guests at trade shows, ship inspections and events, demonstrations and product launches.
Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent. Master’s degree or higher would-be a plus.

7 years or more in a position that required high level of project management and operational management is a plus.

2 years or more of experience in cruise or travel industry, tour operator related business, or experience in destination product development or operations. Longer tenure with this type of experience would be a plus.

Rounded sales professional in a variety of experience in sales development roles.

Proven track record of success in fast-paced environment with demanding timelines.

Proven track record in driving sales excellence and GTM strategies.

Highly organized and self-motivated.

Passion for Results: motivated by goal achievement and continuous improvement, with the enthusiasm and drive to motivate the wider organization.

Understanding of the luxury travel market preferred.

Business Acumen: Demonstrate a keen understanding of business operations and the organizational levers (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and external contacts both domestic and international.

Must possess a positive, team-player attitude.

Proven ability to achieve sales goals.

Proven track record in driving growth and developing markets.

Understanding of the luxury travel market preferred.

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
