Job Title: Recruiter
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned shipboard roles, including technical and niche positions.
- Lead sourcing initiatives using multiple channels, including passive candidate strategies, Boolean searches, professional networks, talent mapping, and direct outreach.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to build a diverse pipeline for both current and future hiring needs.
- Identify and engage talent through multiple channels, including direct sourcing, professional networks, referrals, and talent pools.
- Review and assess candidates using competency-based interviewing techniques to ensure alignment with shipboard role requirements.
- Ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, from initial contact to pre-onboarding.
- Conduct structured interviews to evaluate candidates for technical competency, cultural fit, and adaptability to shipboard life.
- Provide hiring recommendations based on candidate assessments, including professional background, qualifications, and competencies.
- Prepare recruitment status reports, talent search summaries, and candidate pipeline overviews for leadership review.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with international labor standards and maritime employment regulations (e.g., MLC).
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain detailed records for all candidate interactions and hiring decisions.
- Champion a world-class candidate experience, providing timely updates and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
- Serve as an ambassador for the brand, articulating the company’s values, career growth opportunities, and shipboard culture effectively.
- Project Details / Outline
This is a temporary Recruiter position to assist Shipboard Talent Acquisition with fulfilling the growing hiring needs within Culinary, Marine, Casino, Security, and Youth Staff. Temporary Recruiters will work alongside our current inhouse recruiting teams to provide augmented support for shipboard recruitment to hire roles in various markets, including but not limited to, the EMEA and America regions.
- Project Duration:
- The Project based employment can be pre-terminated upon completion of the project or for a period of three (3) months maximum of six (6) months, whichever comes earlier.
