Royal Caribbean Group’s Global Talent Attraction Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Rehire.

 

Position Summary:

 

The Lead, Rehire is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the rehiring process within the organization. This role ensures that former employees are evaluated efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Acting as key liaison between returning employees, TA rehire recruitment, CM&A and scheduling. The Lead, Rehire develops strategies to improve rehire success rates and workforce retention.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assess and refine rehire criteria to ensure alignment with business needs and compliance standards.

· Collaborate with TA leadership to improve rehire success rates and workforce retention.

· Act as a point of contact for former employees interested in returning.

· Processes each rehire request within the guidelines provided in SQM and SOP for former employees of the company to determine eligibility for rehire.

· Responsible for fulfilling all necessary documentation to support decision on rehire-ability of a candidate.

· Maintain confidentiality, accuracy of documentation and audit rehire decisions for compliance.

· Coordinates and acts as consultant to other business functions with regard to the rehire process.

· Coordinates with CM&A or Scheduling for deactivation or reactivation of JDE accounts, depending on the decision if the case is for rehire or not.

· Coordinates with TA Rehire Recruitment and E1 ID for “just in time” vetting approval and reactivation of JDE account, acting as a liaison between these two teams.

· Coordinate with TA recruitment to integrate rehiring efforts into overall hiring strategies.

· Provide guidance to managers on best practices for reintegrating returning employees.

· Generate reports on rehire success rates and compliance metrics.

· Consistently meets the performance metrics set by the management team.

· Identify opportunities to enhance the rehire process

· Ensures compliance with regulatory, local, and company policies to ensure safety and well-being of the crew, colleagues and guests.

· Performs other duties as required. As needed, participate in special projects assigned by management. Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent.

· Minimum 2 years related business intelligence experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Minimum 2 years of working experience in the international hospitality and/or travel industry

· Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

· Knowledge of SQM policy and MLC legislation

· Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Knowledge of automated human resources systems preferred including JD Edwards

· Knowledge of general shipboard functions on a cruise ship and the general concept of the shipboard organization is preferred.

· Knowledge of world geography, time differences, and demographic

· Strong Excel skills required.

· Ability to analyze large datasets and report relevant findings.

· High attention to details

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables.
