Lead, GRC Platform Developer

Position Summary: 


Royal Caribbean Group (RCG) is seeking a Lead, GRC Platform developer to assist development in ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) module and strengthen the RCG GRC program(s). The successful candidate for this position will assist in the execution of workflows, reporting, testing, documentation, and administration in accordance with Global Information Security (GIS) requirements.  


As the lead developer for IRM module, this position will be recognized as one of the subject matter experts of the IRM module, who will shape discussion, development and guidance to leaders and key stakeholders of the GRC.  In addition, experience with other GRC platforms such as OneTrust and relational applications such as Splunk, Databricks, Informatica & Bitsight is preferred. 


This position will require the lead to work with a team of ServiceNow developers, external ServiceNow support and RCG Technology teams to develop, design and implement enterprise solutions. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  


  • Design with functional teams to implement, enhance, and maintain ServiceNow IRM modules such as GRC Policy, Compliance, Audit, Risk and build business tailored workflows using the ServiceNow engine. 

  • Develop scoped GRC Policy, Compliance, Audit, Risk modules that utilize all ServiceNow’s capabilities, including workflows, alerts, events, notices. 

  • Create and/or maintain API and data integrations between ServiceNow and other applications such as OneTrust + Bitsight services, + Databricks, Splunk, Informatica 

  • Design and develop reports and dashboards in accordance with stakeholder requirements.  

  • Drive peer testing, testing script and quality testing activities in accordance with stakeholder requirements. 

  • Create import templates and support areas such as compliance on their Audit import tasks. 

  • Design release management for ServiceNow, upgrades, strategies, initiatives, and key issues. 

  • Demonstrates leadership with, software product development projects. 

  • Builds complex software systems for different business risk scenarios. 

  • Designs, delivers, and tests full stack GRC solutions. 

  • Makes use of industry experience and benchmarks for methodology effectiveness. 

  • Supervises the testing of applications at various stages throughout the development process. 

  • Interprets considerations for selecting an optimal testing environment for specific applications. 

  • Creates test scenarios that ensure all error handling processes perform as expected. 

  • Designs application tests to ensure adherence to functional and quality requirements. 

  • Trains junior developers on best practices 




  • Bachelor’s in information technology/computer science is preferred, non-technical degrees with Computer Engineering or related IT discipline will be considered combined with technology experience.  

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow in an enterprise environment. 

  • 5+ years with an active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification 

  • Experience with multiple ServiceNow IRM modules, including Task management, Request Items, GRC, Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, Policy Exceptions, Universal Compliance Framework integration. 

  • 5+ years of CMDB, Custom App Development and IRM experience 


Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Estimates time, effort and resources required for thorough testing. 

  • Explains the relative criticality, risk and potential reward of each and all major tasks. 

  • Judges key issues and considerations for testing client/server or AAS applications. 

  • Identifies the major tasks and responsibilities of IT management that are relative to IT governance. 

  • Analyzes how IT Governance applies to one’s own function; applies relevant constructs to day-to-day work. 

  • ServiceNow Certification Application:  

  • Active GRC: Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Implementer 

  • Active System Administrator Certification 

  • Recognizes basic IT needs from the business user’s perspective. 

  • ITSM implementation experience and/or CMDB experience. 

  • Experience with web technologies, Java Script, ES5+, HTML. 

  • Knowledge of web-based protocols and standards (Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML) 

  • Experience in developing solutions within the Service Portal and applying user interface concepts while seeking a better user experience. 

  • Experience with ServiceNow forms, fields, views, lists, UP policy, and actions. 

  • Attention to details and produce quality deliverables with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

  • Ability to thrive in an agile environment, with high sense of urgency and proactive team player.
