Royal Caribbean Group’s RCMI-Crew Manning has an exciting career opportunity for a full time General Manager.

 

Position Summary

 

The General Manager, Manning Agency is the senior leader responsible for setting the strategic direction, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement for the Royal Caribbean Manning Center in the Philippines. This role provides leadership over the manning agency, with accountability for business results, government and industry relations, service delivery, financial stewardship, and talent development.

 

The incumbent serves as the official representative of the manning agency with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and key external partners, while also acting as a strategic partner to internal senior leaders to ensure workforce readiness, compliance, and operational continuity.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Strategic and Operational Leadership

 

  • Lead the overall strategy, direction, and performance of the manning agency.
  • Oversee all manning operations to ensure business objectives, KPIs, and service standards are achieved.
  • Identify business risks, market trends, and operational opportunities, and implement strategies to address them.
  • Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide regular business updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

Government and External Relations

 

  • Serve as the primary representative and spokesperson of the manning agency with government bureaus, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant agencies and external stakeholders to support compliance, business continuity, and company reputation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the agency operates in full compliance with applicable labor, maritime, and government requirements.
  • Represent and advocate for Royal Caribbean’s interests in external forums and stakeholder engagements.

 

Financial and Business Management

 

  • Lead the annual budget planning process and ensure the business operates within approved financial parameters.
  • Monitor business performance and drive actions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and value delivery.

 

Stakeholder and Talent Leadership

 

  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through proactive communication, alignment, and issue resolution.
  • Develop a high-performing team by driving talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Ensure team goals are aligned with business priorities and company objectives.
  • Champion Royal Caribbean’s values and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing a complex business function or operations in the Philippines. Preferable Manning center operations.
  • Strong experience managing senior internal and external stakeholders, including government and regulatory agencies.
  • Proven strategic leadership, financial acumen, and operational management capability.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive business results in a regulated environment.
