Royal Caribbean Group’s Legal Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Counsel, Contracts.

 

Position Summary:

Royal Caribbean is seeking an experienced, highly motivated legal counsel to join its legal team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for administering a variety of contracts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, draft and administer commercial contracts for various business units, in accordance with previously defined criteria (i.e., commercial contract playbook)
  • Administer contract management procedures and controls to ensure use of appropriate forms and adherence to established corporate contracts policies
  • Prepare amendments to contracts and manage renewal and amendment process
  • Coordinate approvals, tracking and execution of agreements through the Company’s contract lifecycle management platform
  • Serve as a liaison between the Legal Department and the company's various business units

 

Qualifications:

  • Law degree, with an active license to practice law in the local jurisdiction
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience negotiating commercial agreements
  • Prior experience with a law firm and/or in an in-house legal environment of multinational corporation is a plus

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Technologically proficient with software applications such as SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated high proficiency in English, including correct spelling, grammar, tone, and syntax.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a high volume of assignments
  • Sound judgment
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, confidential material
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to client service, and the ability to build relationships across the Company.
  • Experience in working with big legal firms and international legal exposure
