Buyer II, Hotel Food & Beverage Procurement

Position Summary / Job Purpose:

 

The incumbent will support within their assigned category in HF&B Procurement. Assigned tasks may include researching and onboarding suppliers, performing RFQ’s, supplier invoice and statement reconciliation, pricing and market data maintenance, data entry and management, and other sourcing and procurement related tasks assigned by their line manager.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • High level organizational skills to support accurate record keeping, document and data management.
  • Supports supplier management through tracking supplier performance metrics, spend data, etc.
  • Supports procurement functions, including tracking new item requests, value creation initiatives, and logging activity across the assigned procurement category.
  • Performs RFQ’s for required goods and analyzes pricing from suppliers to make a purchase recommendation.
  • Prepare a variety of reports on a scheduled and/or ad-hoc basis to support category management.
  • Able to work independently on assigned tasks and provide timely updates on progress.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field preferred. 
  • 2 – 3 years related procurement experience or specialized technical experience.
  • Negotiation and analytical skills required. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.  
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from suppliers and multiple levels of staff and management, both shipboard and shoreside.
