Associate, Program

Program Associate – Manila  

 

The function of the Program Associate is to support and work directly with the Program Manager located in Turku to gather, analyze, and report data to elevate visibility to project areas as well as for recommended courses of action. Projects assigned are typically automated data entry tasks, data analysis (including Power BI), project planning, tracking, and status reporting requiring no interaction with broad teams and partners. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Interfaces directly with the RCCL European Turku Office to ensure alignment on tasks. 

  • Supports project teams in collection of quantitative/qualitative statistics, performs basic numerical analysis 

  • Manage complex invitations for week workshops and established meeting routines from project calendars 

  • Monitor and report on overall progress KPIs 

  • Compile ad hoc taskforce report, including all KPIs, charts, and graphs 

  • Provide detailed remarks and updates on ongoing task 

  • Oversee inspection schedules and report findings 

  • Track and review Basic Design drawings 

  • Monitor FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) processes 

  • Report on drawing approval status 

  • Assess and report on area and cabin readiness 

  • Track and update commissioning status, including key remarks 

  • Review and report on safety compliance and incidents 

  • Maintain and update the action log status regularly 

  • Project tracking/monitoring and reporting of several small to medium size special projects 

  • Utilizes project management tools and techniques to develop and maintain project scope 

  • Performs other duties as required

Education & Experience 

 

  • B.S. degree with a concentration in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline (Management Science, Industrial Engineering).  
  • Experience: 1-3 years in an office administration environment is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. 

 

 Knowledge and Skills:  

 

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills a must. Clear and precise communication at all levels of the organization essential.  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strength in communicating in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.   

  • Excellent administrative, organizational and presentation skills.   

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.   

  • Ability to coherently define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and find pragmatic solutions to problems.     

  • Knowledge of or some experience with process improvement methods & techniques.  

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret contracts, financial reports, legal documents, and government regulations.  

  • Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers, customers, vendors, shoreside and shipboard employees.  

  • Software: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required. Familiarity with email, internet applications and AutoCAD system essential.
