Analyst, System Pricing Ops

Royal Caribbean is looking for an analyst to join its Revenue Strategy and Operations team. The Analyst will be responsible for the technical implementation of price programs (Brand and tactical promotions) for the Royal Caribbean brand.  Liaises with the Pricing Operations and Revenue Management Product Teams in the design and development of pricing programs and ensures pricing is effectively and correctly reflected in the reservation system (i.e., AS 400). Troubleshoots issues with promotions and communicates completion. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. In conjunction with Revenue Management domestic and international product teams, responsible for the creation of strategic and tactical price programs in the AS400 for all countries and in multiple currencies.
  2. Partners with Decision Support team to identify efficiencies in Pricing Operations.
  3. Proactively identify and address areas for improvement by developing and implementing effective business outcome/process changes that will positively impact our customer.
  4. Ensures that the feedback and monitoring of all processes are in place for all projects and guarantees the effectiveness and quality of results.
  5. Develops and implements reporting processes and reports that will enable Revenue Management to measure the success of promotional activities as well as in accuracies in pricing.
  6. Acts as the primary technical point of contact for pricing programs in the AS 400.
  7. Creates price programs and supports deployment/redeployments.
  8. Plan and coordinate strategies with Sales, Marketing, Trade Support, and Air/Sea to improve future revenue performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Extensive knowledge of the AS 400. 
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, .
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
