Royal Caribbean Group’s Crew Management & Audit has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Crew Management.
Position Overview
The Analyst of Crew Management is responsible for maintaining an accurate headcount of available crew members for CAM Operations to deploy. This role will work closely with CAM Operations, CAM Planning, HRBP’s, Shipboard Talent Acquisition, and Legal to ensure all policy and procedures exists and are followed to ensure all crew members are accurately tracked throughout the phases of the crew journey.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- ·Responsible for maintaining the status of all crew members is the supply, ensuring that they crew members shown in the headcount plan going forward are truly deployable and do not overestimate our supply needs going forward.
- Provide guidance to HR Ops and Shipboard Crew Administration teams with regards to policy, international and/or regional specific requirements and documentation as related to Crew Management.
- Work with Brand HR, HR Ops and other operational areas with regards to management policies and procedures to ensure accurate and up to date guidance.
- Oversee administration related to Crew Data and Records, including, but not limited to personal data, documentation, and employment history.
- Manage the inactivation of crew members who have not been deployed due to time in specific leave statuses.
- Manage leave status updates for all crew members and establish policies for getting them back on ships or inactivated in the system.
- Manage re-hire process, defining eligibility and develop procedures to return crew members to the active pool by either updating records and reactivate for scheduling, sending to Talent Acquisition to restart candidate process or sending for Ops review.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Paralegal, International Relations or Maritime Law or directly related, equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 years of experience working with HR operations, logistics, port administration, airport operations, hotel, transportation, and contract procurement, financial institution, audit role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to dig through large data sets to find relevant information.
- Very process oriented with the ability to convey nuanced differences in policies and procedures to both Sr. Leadership and operational leaders.
- Ability to plan and organize self and work to achieve objectives and targets; is determined to deliver outcomes and is able to overcome obstacles in order to move forward. Accountable for the delivery of outcomes, strives to meet and exceed the expectations of customers.
- Ability to set measurable goals and objectives and to implement strategies to achieve them (often prioritizing in a high-pressure environment)
- Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
- Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.
