Position Summary

This role is part of a direct consumer outreach sales organization, where the Sales Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests calling into the contact center. The Agent is responsible for applying effective sales techniques to close sales in a single interaction while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This position focuses exclusively on inbound calls, supporting guests from initial inquiry through to their sailing. The Agent is accountable for meeting monthly targets related to revenue, conversion, operational performance, and customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate guest needs effectively and recommend suitable products based on their preferences
  • Apply sales techniques to secure bookings in a single call and accurately create reservations
  • Service existing reservations in line with guest requests and established business rules
  • Deliver one-call resolution whenever possible
  • Collaborate with internal departments to obtain accurate information and finalize bookings
  • Consistently apply customer service standards in all guest interactions
  • Accurately capture guest information and process payments during each interaction
  • Maintain brand standards when responding to guest inquiries
  • Handle all inquiries efficiently while adhering to defined call handling time targets
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience required
  • At least 1 year of phone sales experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong ability to assess guest needs using sound judgment and effective questioning techniques
  • Proven ability to apply sales strategies and close transactions in a single interaction
  • Skilled in building rapport and understanding guest motivations to drive conversions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to respond effectively to guest concerns
  • Ability to navigate and manage the full sales process using structured sales techniques
  • Clear, professional, and accurate communication aligned with brand standards
  • High level of personal integrity and accountability for performance and growth
  • Strong adherence to schedules and performance objectives (CVP goals)
  • Proficient in computer systems and applications
