Accountant, General

Position Summary / Job Purpose:

The role is a qualified accountant, with experience in AP, AR , Taxation matters and understand payroll processes, reporting , variance analysis, forecasting and very strong excel skills to name a few and very good communication skills , written and verbal , proficient in English ( as this person is required to participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily accounting transactions
• Processing of manual payments and cashflow monitoring
• Monthly and yearly closing of accounts
• Tax reconciliation, filing and payment
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents on annual audit and tax filing matters
• Prepare requirements for BIR annual audits
• Monthly variance analysis
• Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting
• Assist in seat cost analysis 
• Crew allotment support
• Performs other duties as required. 

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• Must possess at least 3-year experience in general accounting
• Knowledgeable in internal revenue tax regulation especially Expanded Withholding Tax and Value Added Tax
• CPA is an advantage
• Highly analytical and can work under minimal supervision
• Knowledge and Skills:
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point are essential. Knowledge of JDEdwards is an advantage.
• Good technical knowledge and practical experience of transactional accounting
• Organize and drive to success
