JOB SUMMARY:
The Media and Campaign Manager leads the media planning and performance, strategic and tactical collateral development, and execution of go-to-market strategies across all paid and owned channels in partnership with our creative team in Miami, media agency and internal stakeholders. Working with all departments on a consultative basis to ensure that the brand/product experiences are well understood through creative communications, the role will own the marketing and communications calendar across all disciplines to ensure campaigns are executed on time and on budget with detailed campaign tracking to achieve commercial goals.
Working with the Marketing team both locally and in Miami, the Media and Campaign Manager will support Media, Web, Email, PR, Social and Trade efforts with the provision of campaign creative and collateral. The role will maintain a keen interest in the marketplace, actively seeking new brand appropriate content opportunities to activate.
Some of your duties include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution – In conjunction with the Commercial Marketing Director, leads the development of an annual Marketing plan to achieve key brand & commercial objectives, including passenger volumes, revenue and conversion. Manages implementation of globally led campaigns through localised executions that achieve short and long-term goals. Ensures campaign mix drives required demand through direct and trade channels.
- Relationship Management – Works with the Miami Marketing team to coordinate creative requirements and actions for campaigns and collateral. Partners with the Miami team to plan for global brand and promotional campaigns to optimise timely execution of market requirements ensuring provision of assets to spec and on time. Represents Australia/New Zealand regarding all global projects.
- Creative and Collateral – Owns the briefing of creative executions across channels including but not limited to – Print, TV, Radio, Direct Mail, Digital, Social, SEM, OOH and retail campaigns – to ensure cohesive multi-channel campaigns. Works with creative teams in Miami to develop executions which meet local commercial needs.
- Media Planning and Performance - Manages day to day communication with media agency to implement / track / report paid media campaigns. Ensures agency is compliant, works effectively to the KPI’s documented, and remains on budget. Builds a collaborative working relationship with agency partners to deliver best-in-class media executions which are both proactive & reactive to market fluctuations and commercial needs.
- Revenue Performance - Understands industry and booking trends to collaborate on growth and emerging opportunities. Participates in discussions around revenue performance in Trading Meetings, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement while adapting to competitor and external factors. Ensures activity is aligned to continual growth of direct share of business, delivering against the 5-year plan.
- Budget Management - In partnership with the Commercial Marketing Director, manages annual campaign media and production budgets ensuring that all funds are optimised in line with forecasted business goals.
- Performance Improvement – Monitors, evaluates and analyses market trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity to identify market opportunities. Evaluates market research and brand health tracking, adjusting marketing activity to meet changing market and competitive conditions or business strategy shifts as required.
- Travel within Australia & New Zealand may be required. Travel overseas may also be required.
QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- 6+ years of progressive marketing experience in either a client or agency role is essential, including experience in media strategy & planning, multi-channel creative concept development, and GTM campaign execution across all channels.
- Direct responsibility for commercial results preferred.
- Travel & Tourism or Luxury marketing experience is highly desirable.
- 4+ years of people management with experience in either a client or agency role preferred.
- Proven experience working with a multi-location team & ideally within a global business.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing and/or tourism desirable.
