Royal Caribbean Group’s Entertainment team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Sr. Specialist, Production Operations Administration reporting to the Director, Entertainment Operations.
This position will work onsite at the Entertainment Studios located in North Miami, FL.
Position Summary
The Sr. Specialist, Production Operations Administration provides critical support for the Entertainment Production Operations area of Royal Caribbean Productions. This role is responsible for operational processes related to administrative and onboarding requirements for all production cast members across the fleet. This individual will have a comprehensive understanding of the necessary administrative support to ensure operational efficiency and cast readiness. In addition, this person will support daily operations at the shoreside rehearsal facility, as well as shipboard operation needs.
Requirements for the role include strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth administrative functioning of Royal Caribbean Productions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the onboarding team with functions such as identifying required itinerary-based visas, collection, accuracy and approval of required documentation, and problem resolution assistance for cast-related concerns pertaining to both shipboard and shoreside rehearsal operations
- Assists with pre-employment and re-employment medical approval process, including
any urgent and/or escalated concerns, as necessary
- Will assess and prioritize daily operational workload for the onboarding and administrative team to optimize efficiencies and productivity
- Serves as primary point-of-contact supporting ice production operations and logistics
- Responsible for researching and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company standards, procedures, and other crew onboarding requirements
- Provides administrative support for the ongoing planning, research and development of the shoreside rehearsal operation schedule and shipboard cast changeover strategy
- Will develop internal process documentation, SOPs, reference/training materials and other resources to assist the overall onboarding and administration operation
- Manages extra crew cabin requests (ECCR) to support cast changes and replacement performers
- May conduct performer orientations and presentations for large groups, lead team meetings with cast members and entertainment personnel
- Provides special project assistance and coordination, as required

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Communications, Theater, or related field
- Experience in the entertainment industry and cruise industry, shipboard and/or shoreside, a plus
- Excellent logical and critical thinking skills, coupled with a strong ability to research and analyze, and make impactful decisions
- Attention to detail and organizational skills required
- Prior experience with crew member onboarding protocols, visa/immigration requirements, and crew movement processes preferred
- Expertise in interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal communication in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, receptiveness to guidance, with an ability to creatively tackle challenges under ambiguous circumstances
- High level of emotional intelligence. Innovative thinker with a growth mindset
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of computer systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, JD Edwards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to effectively handle many different projects and responsibilities at once, problem-solve and multi-task
Financial Responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping business on track within operating budgets and identifying the most cost-effective solutions and operational opportunities
