Royal Caribbean Group’s Entertainment Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Specialist, New Productions Entertainment reporting to the Manager, Entertainment Associate Producer
Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the Entertainment new-build process and day-to-day operations of Royal Caribbean Productions. Supports the shoreside team with all new-build related tasks and initiatives.
Operates in a team environment and is expected to work in a collaborative way with leadership team and colleagues, as well as independently, as required. Works closely with Manager of New Productions, Managing Producers, AVP of Entertainment, Supply Chain, Hotel Purchasing, and Logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tracks all Production and Live Performance venue related Owner’s Supply or DEAR (technical) orders, including AMOS reports to summarize status changes.
- Supports Newbuild production Owner’s Supply general research on pricing, alternatives for discontinued items, etc.
- Assists in PRF Template preparation for start-up related Owner’s Supply requests.
- Manages vendor/contractor berthing and travel to support the operational start-ups and/or Dry Dock including Fleet Visitor Request submissions and ECCR submissions.
- Coordinates inventory, commercial invoicing and shipping arrangements for items delivered to Entertainment Studio
- Creates appropriate summary reports covering Owner’s Supply and other newbuild entertainment items for presentation to Senior Management.
- Collaborates with senior production team members in order to ensure all necessary deliverables are received post-production/s opening.
- Organizes and plans all start up onboard cast safety training.
- Maintain, support and update SmartSheet, Sharepoint and NPMS system database information.
- Assist with vendor set ups, travel & hotel arrangements, Concur setup, ID applications, Calendar assistance, Visa recommendations and research, cabin requests, onboard internet codes, travel letters, general support and guidance, etc.
- Assist with post-ship delivery Owner’s Supply and DEAR account reconciliation.
- Understanding of computer systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and able to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to effectively handle many different projects at once, problem-solve and multi-task.

Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university in Theater, Communications or Business Administration.
- Experience in the entertainment industry and cruise industry shipboard and/or shoreside a plus. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
- Successful experience working on special projects preferred.
- Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills and strong research/analytical abilities.
- Language Skills: Foreign language speaker a plus; however, not necessary.
- Travel Requirement: Minimal to no travel required
Financial Responsibilities:
- Responsible for keeping business on track within operating budgets and identifying the most cost-effective solutions and opportunities.
- Provides assistance in tracking and logging Production and Live Performance venue related Owner Supply allocations and orders for newbuilds.
