TASK FORCE LEAD
LOCATION: Monfalcone
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Task Force Lead provides a coordination role to Project Management Team, that is
lead by Project Manager, see below organization structure. In this role she /he supports
discipline owners at the critical areas within collaboration with her/his Manager, yard
counterparts and Turnkey companies. Task Force Lead is not limited to Architectural
Outfitting areas, and as needed role is including technical task force areas as defined
and jointly agreed with the yard by project management team, see Task force process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead independently critical areas of the project on-site and in collaboration with the
Yard and Turnkeys. Main focus at the Selected task force areas:
a. Support external stakeholders to achieve main milestones
b. Evaluate need of workforce
c. Evaluate workforce expertise that is needed in project different phases
d. Support material availability and timely delivery
e. Predicting next phases and need of support, awareness
f. Bring RCG, yard and TK line organizations closer together
g. Weekly reporting jointly with MCC
h. On-site decisions to ensure critical areas to move forward

i. Capability source internal support to ensure quality and prompt decision
making
j. Able to negotiate between different parties and find solutions that drives task
force areas towards next steps and finalization on time and quality
2. Strong team builder, works in seamless manner with Project Management,
Architectural design team, technical team and other internal stakeholders.
3. Manages eventual modifications, Owners Work within defined areas & systems.
4. After approval of the Owners work area work, source the Turnkey contractors, follow
the design, implementation and coordinate any actions that is needed between the
internal or/and external stakeholders
5. Responsibility of Owners Work timely delivery, within the budget and quality.
6. Ensure that Task Force and Owners work milestones are align with the yard
milestones and internal milestones, and negotiates if adjustment is required
7. Supports Architectural and Technical, mockup reviews, and inspections
8. Ensure that contractual terms are fulfilled at the Task Force areas
9. Ensure that Owners Work don’t interfere normal building process and needed safety
and yard standards & requirements for work is fulfilled
10.Spends solid and routine time walking onboard the vessels as they are under
construction, up to and beyond delivery until such time they are successfully in
service.
11.Leads Consultants that are working or supporting Task Force or/and Owners Work
areas.
12.Leading the Risk Management process at the Task Force and Owners Work areas
13.Supporting selected Turnkey companies in Owners Work areas at the logistic
coordination
14.Maintains good relations with shipyard and Turnkey companies

16.Studies, collects, shares, compare, stores statistical information, and, analyze
various ships and areas bringing forth observations.
17.Creates presentations and reports for design management and project management
18.Regularly assists and occasionally conducts practicality reviews to check that
operational, risk or accessibility concerns are being considered in all aspects of
design.
19.Stays current in industry trends and innovation through research and market
knowledge
20.Performs other duties as required. This job description in no way states or implies

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 10 years cruise design industry experience required. Minimum of 5
years managing large scale projects.
• Minimum of 1 years managing direct reports preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design required, (Naval) Architecture
preferred.
• Cruise ship newbuild or revitalization design experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge of cruise ship building process, technical understanding of main
functions, interiors, staterooms, crew areas, open decks, catering/BOH
preferred.
• Must possess skills in at least 2 of the following: AutoCAD, Excel, Powerpoint,
Photoshop, Sketchup; MicroSoft Project is nice to know
• Is highly motivated, efficient, and organized. Has fundamental understanding of
time management, with priorities being established by supervisor. Works on
multiple projects, and multiple tasks under various team members. Has strong
ability to maintain focus
• Ability to travel internationally or domestically 5% of the time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to effectively communicate with all
levels of management and employees, across diverse cultures around the world.
• Requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills to convey
concepts and requirements of the team to technical and non-technical
individuals. Is effective at simplifying complexity.
• Requires strong teamwork and collaborative leadership skills to develop rapport
within the department, with other departments, and externally.
• Possesses self-motivation with ability to mobilize people and resources to action,
within a high-paced environment.
• Good ability to proactively identify problems and reviewing related information to
develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Possesses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of
alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Able to work in multicultural working environment and willingness to travel
extensively.
• Working knowledge of computer software for communication and presentations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Excellent written & verbal English is a must.
