ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Financial Analyst position is the primary force behind the analysis, reporting and control, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes of the Silversea Brand (Cruise, On Board, Cancellation, Air and other related products).

He/she insures business operational link between Finance and all other departments.

He/she implements effective revenue and cost control measures through accurate reporting to enable decision making by management.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze short and long-term direct revenues and costs for SSC Brand (all fleet) including different dimensions like market, channel, and destination.
  • Support business development and strategies by analyzing different products.
  • Analyze on-board profitability and track different on-board revenue streams for SSC Brand.
  • Analyze Air, revenues and costs for SSC Brand.
  • Provide support to different departments for budget/forecast development and analysis.
  • Provide support for ad hoc requests like Revenue R&O, Air Take rate, Cancellation rate etc.

 

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop quarterly and monthly forecasts and load in the financial planning tool.
  • Track monthly performance and planning processes (incl. Actuals and variances against forecast explanations, booked position and accounting support).
  • Review and track all items affecting direct revenues and costs i.e. Volume, Price and Mix against forecast, plan and previous actuals.
  • Produce monthly dashboards for revenue line under scope.
  • Cash collections and Customer Deposits follow-up.
  • Cancellation & Insurance revenue recognition and follow-up.
  • Quarterly RCL corporate reporting and tax team support.
  • Prepare revenue related statistical data and load in the system and provide proper backup for SOX compliance.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • 3+ or 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis and controlling.
  • Preferably experience in Hospitality / Air / Travel / Cruise businesses.
  • Able to deal with databases and excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships.
  • Navision, Essbase/Hyperion and Cognos experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and French.
