The Royal Caribbean Group’s Food and Beverage Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Technical Product Owner reporting to the Sr. Product Manager, F&B Technology

 

The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.

 

PositionSummary:

We are seeking a highly analytical, technically proficient and forward-thinking Senior Technical Product Owner to join our Food & Beverage (F&B) team. This role will bridge the gap between business operations and technology, driving the development and optimization of F&B systems and digital tools. You will be responsible for analyzing business needs, defining technical requirements, managing product enhancements, and ensuring that technology solutions align with F&B strategic objectives across all venues and touchpoints. This role will have a heavy focus on designing and implementing platforms that collect, organize and activate data at scale – enabling smarter decisions, personalized guest experiences and more efficient operations.

 

The ideal candidate combines deep technical acumen with strong product leadership and stakeholder engagement skills and thrives in environments where data is at the center of every strategic initiative

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 •    Product Ownership & Requirements Gathering

    ◦    Partner with F&B stakeholders (culinary, service, beverage, inventory) to understand operational challenges and product needs.

    ◦    Define and prioritize technical requirements for system enhancements, integrations, and new feature development.

    ◦    Own and manage product backlogs in collaboration with engineering and IT teams.

    ◦    Write and manager user stories, acceptance criteria and product backlogs in partnership with shipboard engineering and F&B operations teams.

    ◦    Align F&B technology products with broader business objectives such as guest satisfaction, labor efficiency and revenue growth.

 

    •    Data Analysis & Insights

    ◦    Leverage data to identify inefficiencies, customer behavior trends, and performance opportunities across F&B systems.

    ◦    Develop dashboards, reports, and metrics to guide decision-making and measure ROI on product improvements.

    ◦    Define KPIs and analytics tools to empower culinary, service and corporate teams with real-time insights.

 

    •    Systems & Integrations

    ◦    Support the implementation and optimization of POS, inventory and reservation platforms.

    ◦    Work cross-functionally to ensure proper integration with reservation, groups, guest services, and analytics systems.

    •    User Experience & Quality Assurance

    ◦    Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), gather feedback, and validate enhancements prior to deployment.

    ◦    Partner with training and operations teams to roll out new tools and updates with minimal disruption.

    •    Project Management

    ◦    Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of technical initiatives.

    ◦    Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies within agile and/or waterfall project environments.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  •    Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Hospitality Management, or related field.

    •    5+ years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, or technical project roles, ideally within the hospitality, F&B, or retail industries.

    •    Working knowledge of F&B applications and use cases

    •    Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

    •    Familiarity with APIs, systems integration principles, and data flow mapping.

    •    Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into actionable insights for stakeholders.

    •    Strong project management skills with experience in agile product development environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

    •    Experience working in cruise lines, resorts, theme parks, or multi-unit hospitality operations.

    •    Knowledge of complex system integrations, guest personalization, AI-driven decision making or ship/shore data movements.

    •    Certification in Product Ownership, Agile/Scrum, or Business Analysis (e.g., CSPO, CBAP).
