Royal Caribbean Group’s Port Services team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Buesiness Intelligence reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence.

This position is on site in Miramar, FL.

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Port Operations plays a critical role in leading mid- to long-range forecasting and operational planning for global port activities through the development and oversight of system-driven forecasting models. This role is responsible for translating complex operational behaviors including port activity, contractual rate structures, tariff frameworks, and regulatory requirements into structured forecast methodologies utilizing defined variables, calculation logic, and system-based assumptions.

The position functions as a key owner of forecast integrity, ensuring that all inputs, variables, and system calculations accurately reflect real-world operational drivers and produce consistent, reliable forecast outputs. Through continuous validation and refinement of forecast models and system logic, the Senior Analyst ensures alignment between planned operations, forecast projections, and downstream outcomes.

Working in close collaboration with International Port Operations Managers (IPOMs), Port Operations Analysts, Finance, GPS, and Compliance teams, this role synthesizes evolving operational strategies into forward-looking forecast models, proactively identifying risks, trends, and discrepancies within forecast outputs. The role requires advanced analytical capability, strong systems acumen, and the ability to interpret high-volume, data-driven outputs within a complex and dynamic operational environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead the development and execution of short- to long-range (up to two-year) port operations forecasts by translating operational activities, contractual frameworks, tariff structures, and regulatory requirements into system-driven forecasting models utilizing defined variables, assumptions, and calculation logic

· Synthesize complex operational inputs including port call activity, service requirements, rate structures, and regulatory constraints into structured forecast methodologies that drive accurate and forward-looking projections

· Continuously evaluate forecast performance against evolving operational conditions, proactively identifying emerging risks, trends, and variances, and incorporating refined assumptions into forecast models

· Perform comprehensive analysis of forecast outputs, comparing projected results against actual operational outcomes to identify variances, assess root causes, and articulate drivers associated with changes in operational activity, contractual application, or system-calculated results

· Interpret high-volume, system-generated forecast data to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, or misalignments in calculation logic, ensuring that all forecast outputs accurately reflect underlying operational assumptions and inputs

· Provide detailed, data-driven insights into forecast movements, enabling stakeholders to understand the operational and systemic drivers influencing forecast changes

· Develop, validate, and continuously refine system-based forecasting methodologies, ensuring that calculation formulas, variable inputs, and logic structures accurately represent port-specific tariffs, contracts, and operational drivers

· Oversee the integrity of all forecast inputs within planning systems, including maintenance of tariffs, rate tables, contractual terms, and regulatory parameters, ensuring that all data elements are current, consistent, and correctly applied in forecast calculations

· Analyze system behavior and forecast outputs to confirm alignment between configured calculation logic and expected operational outcomes, identifying and resolving gaps, misconfigurations, or inefficiencies

· Collaborates closely with International Port Operations Managers (IPOMs), Port Operations Analysts, Finance, GPS, and Compliance teams to translate operational strategies, service changes, and port-specific requirements into aligned and measurable forecast assumptions

· Works in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to investigate and resolve discrepancies between forecast outputs, accrual assumptions, and invoice-level results, serving as a subject matter expert in forecast logic and operational drivers

· Acts as a key analytical liaison, ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment between operational planning, system-based forecast modeling, and downstream processes

· Establish and maintain strong forecast governance practices by ensuring timely and accurate updates to system inputs and assumptions related to tariffs, regulatory changes, and operational activities, preserving the integrity of forecast outputs

· Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting methodologies, system configuration, and data structures, driving improvements in precision, scalability, and efficiency of forecast generation

· Contribute to the evolution of forecasting processes by recommending improvements to modeling approaches, variable structures, and calculation logic to better reflect the complexity and variability of port operations

Financial Responsibilities:

Supports oversight of port operations and head tax expenses through the port agent invoice submission, review, and payment process, representing approximately $1B in annual activity

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related experience required

· MBA preferred

· Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in forecasting, analytical, or planning roles

· Minimum of 2 years of port operations or related operational experience

· Experience in forecasting, operational planning, or analytical modeling environments preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

· Advanced analytical and forecasting capabilities, including multi-year forecasting, trend analysis, variance evaluation, and operational cost modeling

· Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with Power BI or similar platforms preferred

· Ability to work with large, system-driven datasets and interpret complex calculation logic and variable frameworks

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex analytical concepts

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in close collaboration within cross-functional environments

· Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving capabilities
