The Royal Caribbean Group’s Human Resources Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Human Resources Specialist reporting to the Technology HR Director.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
This role combines core responsibilities of HR Specialist support with strong project management capabilities to drive strategic HR initiatives. This team member will help plan and execute complex projects and tasks regarding the alignment, execution, support, and completion of strategic Human Resources initiatives for Technology and Growth & Digital teams. Projects may be associated with HR operating model, organizational structures, workflow and activity analysis, process optimization, regulatory/risk compliance, personnel studies, methods, and procedures, and reviews of organization structures. Responsibilities will also include assisting with program management and stakeholder coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Project Execution:
- Lead and support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize HR processes, business operations, and enhance the employee experience using project management methodologies to track timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Analyze HR data, workforce trends, and survey results to provide insights, proactive solutions, and support data-driven business decisions.
- Evaluate project effectiveness and provide data-driven insights to help guide and inform decisions, both during and via post-go live analysis.
- Support change management efforts related to process improvements, system implementations, or organizational changes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and business leaders to support enterprise HR programs and drive HR transformation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate project updates, HR metrics, and recommendations.
- Facilitate meetings, maintain documentation of action items, and follow through to ensure key stakeholders are on track for project milestones to be met.
- Participate in strategic HR initiatives such as talent reviews, succession planning, and engagement action planning.
HR Specialist Support:
- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external parties.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to ensure consistent guidance and compliance.
- Manage HR systems transactions (e.g., job changes, requisitions, terminations) and maintain data accuracy.
- Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding activities.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR related experience, preferably in HR Project Management and/or HR Operations.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects; project management certification (PMP, Six Sigma)
- Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively summarize and present information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills; able to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to establish, develop, and implement processes and procedures that align business needs with industry standards and best practices.
