Royal Caribbean Group’s IT Enterprise Products, Shared Services Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, HR Systems reporting to the Senior Director, HR Systems.

 

 

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, HR Systems is responsible for the development and execution of functional goals and strategies for HR business within Information Technology.  Performs independently, and proactively collaborates internally and externally to solve technical and business problems.  Leads others, either directly or indirectly, and is accountable for the results of the team and/or function.  Viewed by others as a leader and role model of corporate culture. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages development and execution of functional goals and strategies across multiple Information Technology areas and disciplines.
  • Manages staff within IT; leads, mentors, and influences others on complex projects and assignments.
  • Drives the development strategy and transforms the IT platform for HR applications
  • Facilitates design and development of business solutions that align with enterprise strategies.
  • Collaborates with internal and external constituents, including suppliers, to meet common goals and resolve conflicting issues.
  • Applies subject matter expertise in the execution of assigned functional responsibilities; remains current with industry trends.
  • Establishes repeatable processes and best practices; ensures department processes comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Leads the team towards DevOps based delivery model and building Resilient, Secure, and Quality product in Cloud or other more current platforms
  • May be required to create and manage budget in excess of $10M for own operating group and/or projects under their supervision.
  • Solid understanding of accounting rules for expense and capital activities
  • Ensures efficient utilization of staff and non-labor resources.
  • Solid understanding of IT estimation activities.  May lead large/complex estimation activities.
  • Accountable for financial implications and cost of systems and services.
  • Responsible for defining optimization opportunities to manage expenses.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in an area of specialty, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and capabilities across a variety of technical concepts and other functional areas.
  • Strong leadership skills; proven experience in leading and developing technical professionals.
  • Experience in leading or directing the work of department staff or project teams.
  • Proficient with methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes across various technology areas
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical peers and management.
  • Fully capable of managing multiple business or departmental functions.
  • Capable of making independent decisions that impact IT and/or business strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accepts accountability and manages the execution of individual and team results at corporate and divisional levels.
  • Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
