Royal Caribbean Group’s Data Analytics and AI Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Program Manager, Data Solutions reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Solutions Engineering.
Position Summary:
The Program Manager, Data Solutions position is responsible for overseeing the development of programs that support an organization’s main objectives and managing project finances. This role plays a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and adaptability to enhance Royal Caribbean Group’s (RCG) ability to deliver value to our customers and impact to our business while maintaining a clear understanding of financial concepts and trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful project delivery
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute project activities, including scope definition, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management
- Manage program budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure program profitability and efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Monitor project performance metrics to measure program success and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders. Develop and manage DA2I project portfolio, ensuring alignment to programs and with Business, DA2I and other stakeholders strategic initiatives and objectives.
- Work with SM, PO, and leadership to create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to ensure clear and actionable user stories that align with both financial goals and technical capabilities
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, customer support, and leadership) to discuss program status and goals.
- Incorporate relevant financial trends, regulations, and customer behavior into product development and feature prioritization.
- Write detailed epics, features and user stories that incorporate financial literacy deliverables, use cases, and customer feedback.
- Analyze customer usage patterns and financial data to drive decisions for product improvements, enhancements, new features, and new project initiatives.
- Lead and collaborate with development teams to execute delivery strategies, ensuring that financial literacy remains a core part of the product experience.
- Work with business, engineering and data scientist teams to ensure successful delivery and updates that meet customer financial needs.
- Develop, implement best practices and manage standard Agile practices over DA2I initiatives and projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure a healthy program roadmap, backlog, and budgeting to fostering a value-driven approach to product development
- Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Program Management or Project Development on an Agile Team, preferably in a financial service or fintech environment
- Proven experience managing products with a focus on financial literacy or personal finance
- Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
- Product Management or Program management certifications (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) are a plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial products, budgeting, investments, and regulations: Budgeting and Cost Management; Financial Analysis; Forecasting and Risk Management
- Ability to distill complex financial concepts into simple, engaging product features.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
- Strong analytical mindset and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management, productivity and finance tracking software.
- Ability to balance business needs with user experience and technical feasibility.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including intermediate Excel, Power BI for Reporting
- Detail oriented, organized, strong problem-solving skills and collaboration across teams, functions and organizations
- Passion for financial literacy and helping users improve their financial well-being.
- Proactive and results-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
