Royal Caribbean Group’s IT Enterprise Product Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Product Owner, IT role reporting to the Manager, Shipboard Product.

 

 

Position Summary

Based in Miramar, FL and reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Owner oversees the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients’ needs and preferences. Their main duties include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to clients’ preferences. The Product Owner will work with various product, project and operations teams simultaneously and must be able to foster strong relationships via delivery on commitments and open communication.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for a portfolio of guest service and housekeeping products.
  • Partner closely with guest experience, housekeeping and hotel operations teams to identify unmet needs and innovation opportunities. 
  • Measures and observes operational satisfaction levels to ascertain and implement service improvement alternatives. 
  • Prioritize features, manage agile backlogs, and work with development and design teams to deliver scalable, guest-centric solutions. 
  • Define KPIs and analytics tools to empower operations teams with real-time insights.
  • Leverage data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities across systems.
  • Define product strategy and roadmaps to support capital allocation and growth planning. 
  • Monitor product performance, guest feedback, and revenue metrics to continuously iterate and optimize. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in a Product Owner role.
  • Familiarity working with scrum & agile software development methodology. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams including project management, engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong background in hospitality or travel industries with a focus on improving operational products is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, product road mapping tools (Jira or similar), and user story writing.
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture.
  • Proficient in the use of analytic tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and customer behavior. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into actionable insights for stakeholders.
