Manager, Casino Operations Royal

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Casino team has an exciting career opportunity for full-time Manager Casino Operations reporting to the Director, Operations & Performance.

 

Position Summary

This position manages all aspects of Casino Operations of the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises fleets. Manages the shipboard casino teams, grow revenue, control expenses, evolve the casino product, ensures high standards of guest satisfaction and develops the staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the shoreside and shipboard staff responsible for shipboard casino operations including table games, slots and cashier desk on all Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises ships.
  • Provides managerial support to the ship’s casino operations team in the form of personal meetings, telephone and email correspondence.
  • Manages internal controls, SQM, accounting controls, key Sarbanes Oxley controls, and casino security controls.
  • Analyzes the financial performance of the casino operations to develop strategies to maximize revenue and reduce expenses.
  • Assists and supports casino marketing strategies to increase the frequency of sailings by VIP casino players.
  • Develops and implements strategies to maximize revenue while also creating a customer-service culture that achieves ratings targets.
  • Works with shipboard teams daily to implement strategies and drives business goals.
  • Manages all recruiting, training, development and retention efforts of the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises casino staff.
  • Develops, communicates, and champions best practices for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • High school graduate (or equivalent) College degree in Business Management or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of three years in Casino Management and seven years of Casino Operations experience.
  • Shipboard Casino experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Asia gaming environment and Rolling Dead Chip program strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and work flexible hours.
