Manager, Casino Operations Royal

Position Summary:

This position owns all aspects of Casino Operations and is accountable for Net Revenue targets for a minimum of eight vessels (approximately $100M in Net Revenue).  This includes accountability for all business, personnel, and technical activities related to Casino and the video arcade and must be able to work independently to make critical decisions to improve performance and to generate new revenue ideas from individual analysis.  Position will also lead the development of the Casino Management team onboard each ship and representing them shoreside in resolving issues in a proactive and efficient manner. Lastly, role will also drive and support strategic initiatives that will include but are not limited to the implementation of new casino technology and games; legal contracts; regulatory compliance; create and modify policy and procedures; logistics; refurbishment; new ship builds; internal controls; audit support; shipboard casino personnel hiring, scheduling, coaching, and developing; casino marketing and casino player development.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize Net Revenue while also creating a customer-service culture that achieves ratings targets
  • Champion understanding and adherence to internal control procedures with the aim of zero Audit findings
  • Works with shipboard teams to implement strategy on a daily basis to drive business goals and delegates effectively
  • Influence and communicate with peers and other departments to progress initiatives
  • Collaborate with VIP Marketing to optimize returns from existing customers and to capture new business
  • Identify areas of opportunity through data analysis and demonstrate successes through predetermined metrics, quantitative and qualitative
  • Produce professional business cases for proposed changes complete with operational and financial analysis and clearly articulated written support
  • Deliver projects end-to-end on time and on budget
  • Develop, communicate, and champion best practices for efficiency improvements, team-building, training procedures, and revenue drivers across fleet

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the human resources function and ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment
  • Ability to represent confidently, positively, and effectively the Casino Operations department shipboard and shore side
  • Ability to articulate, teach, and apply Casino math principles, both Slot and Tables, to increase profitability
  • Knowledge of Cash desk operations
  • Knowledge of current Casino industry best-practices
  • Ability to effectively manage direct and indirect reports 
  • Strong ability to interpret data and external reports to generate individual analysis
  • Ability to read and write extensive and complicated procedures and instructions
  • Ability to articulate and present extensive and complicated procedures and instructions, written and spoken
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills including email programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to problem solve and work under pressure 
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to deliver a comprehensive business case or white paper
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work flexible hours
  • Exceptional ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively
