The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Data Analyst reporting to the Manager, Contact Control Analytics & Solutions.
Position is onsite and based in Miami, FL
The Lead Data Analyst serves as the senior analytical and technical expert for the Global Travel
Services (GTS) organization, overseeing data strategy, reporting, insights, and automation that
support call center operations and guest travel coordination. This role provides end‑to‑end leadership across analytics initiatives—spanning data architecture, dashboard development, forecasting, data modeling, SQL engineering, and cross‑functional project execution.
The Lead Data Analyst supports operational leadership by uncovering trends, identifying opportunities, and translating data into recommendations that drive performance and enhance the
guest experience. This position has direct leadership responsibility for one or more analysts, including coaching, training, workload prioritization, and skill development. The role ensures high standards of quality, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and strengthens analytical capabilities across the GTS organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis of operational, guest experience, and revenue trends; provide actionable insights and executive-ready recommendations.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and advanced analytical solutions to support data-driven decision making.
- Conduct deep-dive and ad hoc analyses to identify root causes, quantify business impact, and uncover improvement opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor analysts, overseeing project prioritization, workload distribution, and quality of deliverables.
- Design and maintain SQL queries, datasets, ETL processes, and Power BI dashboards aligned to business needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and integrity across reporting systems.
- Monitor forecasting accuracy, staffing performance, and revenue correlations in partnership with operational teams.
- Analyze financial performance indicators and support operational processes impacting revenue and guest experience.
- Lead end-to-end analytics projects from requirements gathering through deployment and adoption.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, IT, Operations, and business stakeholders.
- Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives to modernize analytics capabilities.
- Define and evolve performance metrics aligned to strategic business objectives.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in analytics, business analysis, or related field.
- Experience in call center or operations analytics preferred.
- Advanced SQL (Oracle, PL/SQL, Spark SQL preferred).
- Advanced Power BI (Tableau or Looker acceptable).
- Strong Excel, financial modeling, and statistical analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring team members.
- Strong executive communication and problem-solving capabilities.
