Royal Caribbean Group’s Information Technology Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Engineer, Cybersecurity role, reporting to the Senior Lead, Identity Access Management.
The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.
The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.
Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Engineer, Cybersecurity to design, implement, and operationalize security solutions across modern and legacy environments. This hands-on role partners with project teams to translate complex architectures into robust security controls, driving secure-by-design practices while aligning with corporate standards and policies. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical capability with strong communication and collaboration skills, delivering rapid deployments in AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud and enabling a smooth transition to Security Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Embed with project teams to understand complex architectures, apply correct security controls, and ensure governability in the future.
- Serve as a highly technical security expert to drive transformation across both new and legacy infrastructure, aligning with corporate standards and policies.
- Ensure solution design and implementation comply with corporate standards and policies; verify accurate documentation and communication of decisions.
- Operationalize projects and automations, and deploy new technologies quickly with a smooth handoff to the Security Operations Team.
- Pilot and evaluate new cybersecurity technologies to stay ahead of threats and enable scalable security outcomes.
- Define data relationships and design, curate, and query large Databricks data sets; perform Databricks platform engineering and develop patterns in lab environments.
- Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations (KPIs and KRIs) to provide actionable security insights; develop and maintain alerting capabilities with security teams.
- Develop agentic AI capabilities with Cyber Security training to enhance detection and response.
- Maintain proactive communication, follow-up, and documentation of implementation decisions, train other department members in data tool use.
- Stay current with industry trends and adapt solution approaches; accordingly, learn new technologies quickly and apply analytical rigor.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- 4+ years of information technology experience, with at least 3 years in information security across multiple areas
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud)
- Proficiency in Python and other programming languages
- Data Science and Databricks experience (designing, querying large data sets, and platform engineering)
- AI and Machine Learning capabilities applicable to cybersecurity
- PowerBI or Tableau experience with advanced metrics and reporting
- Networking concepts; Zero-Trust; Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Experience working in large, cross-functional teams in globally diverse environments (preferred)
- Industry certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus
