Royal Caribbean Group’s IT Delivery Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Director, IT Delivery Program reporting to the Senior Director, IT Delivery Program.

 

This role will work onsite in Miramar, Florida.

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proven Executive-level Agile transformation leader who can come in and modernize all aspects of IT delivery. You are an enthusiastic change agent who can influence organizational change and mindset shift.  You thrive on big challenges and have experience creating new processes and practices from scratch. You understand the business and technical implications of transforming to an Agile environment and can build a sustainable approach that is continuously iterated and improved. You are highly motivated and passionate about influencing leaders, product, and technology teams on Delivery principles and how to build, grow, and maintain a thriving agile organization at scale. You approach your work with optimism, enthusiasm and an owner mindset that is infectious to those around you.  You own the outcome and always stay focused on delivering value to the customer. 

 

  • Expand the IT organizations Agile skillset, set the vision for the future, inspire the necessary change and put the structure in place to make it happen
  • Conceive of and implement the change journey to move organization from existing practices to modern forms to accelerate delivery
  • Lead portfolio and program level planning, budgeting and resource/team forecasting
  • Establish new approach and process for capital funding, tracking and certification
  • Promotes and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust and transparency across teams
  • Help teams mobilize, plan and operate during initial sprints. Be the cheerleader they need as they start their transformation journey.
  • Provide continuous guidance on agile practices, roles and responsibilities, tools and techniques
  • Perform regular monitoring and suggest necessary course corrections
  • Recommend and implement necessary tools and training to advance progress and consistency across teams
  • Define suite of reports to measure team health, velocity, progress vs goals, and overall Agile adoption
  • Continuously iterate and improve and keep building positive momentum
  • Communicate approach and progress to Senior Executives
  • Foster professional development and directly manage Portfolio Managers, Program Managers, Project Managers and Scrum Masters
  • Develop and lead training to educate teams and individuals and answer practical questions to help team members put their agile training into action

 

Qualifications and Education:

 

Education/Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a leadership role in an IT role.
  • Technical degree (BA or BS) preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating organizational, mindset and cultural change for Agile Transformations
  • Extensive broad knowledge of IT systems and capabilities
  • Demonstrated application of Agile concepts across these disciplines: systems design & development, testing, and SDLC; can relate ideas & practices in an emerging Agile environment
  • Engaging facilitator and presenter, capable of conducting workshops with large teams (25+)
  • Direct experience working with technology and tools used to support Agile practices - experience with JIRA is necessary.

 

Additional Education/Experience

  • Internationally recognized Agile Coaching certifications are preferred
  • SAFe Program Consultant 4.0 (SPC4), CSM, CSP, or CSPO certification
  • Organizational Change Management education and/or certification desirable
  • Strong people-focused, dynamic leadership style
  • PMP Certified

 

Financial/Quantitative Responsibilities:

  • This person will be responsible for overseeing budgets in excess of $10M.
