The Royal Caribbean Group’s Digital Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Associate Product Owner reporting to the Manager, IT Performance & Plan
The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and user-focused Associate Product Owner to join our growing Delivery Performance & Planning team. Our team manages resource planning and contractors’ procurement, guiding managers on timely, on-budget projects and product delivery, coordinating cross-functional activities, and continuously improving processes to meet business goals and customer requirements with a focus on labor tracking for financial analysis.
This unique role blends hands-on product support with foundational product management responsibilities. You will be the "voice of the customer" within the team, acting as a liaison between stakeholders and development, focusing on managing the product backlog, and translating customer needs into user stories. Your primary duty will be to ensure our users are successful and supported, while your secondary focus will be to use your frontline experience to help shape the future of the Delivery products and services. Key responsibilities include prioritizing features, coordinating cross-functional teams like engineering and design, conducting user research to gather requirements, documenting user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring the development team understands product goals and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the first line of expert support for product-related inquiries, issues, and feedback from users and internal teams.
- Triage, investigate, reproduce, and document bugs and feature requests with exceptional detail.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure timely resolution of user-reported issues.
- Own processes surrounding product and relationships with any vendor partners.
- Develop and maintain customer-facing support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
Product Development & Analysis:
- Analyze support tickets, user interviews, and feedback channels to identify recurring pain points, user needs, and product opportunities.
- Assist Product Managers in defining and prioritizing the product roadmap.
- Translate user needs into clear, well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, with a focus on bug fixes, usability improvements, and small enhancements.
- Analyze product usage data to understand how features are being adopted and to validate the impact of your work.
- Develop reports to aid customers in data-driven decision making.
Training, Process Improvement, and Communication:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate process, product support and the user feedback lifecycle.
- Clearly communicate product updates, release notes, and bug fixes to internal stakeholders and end-users.
- Host training and information sessions across all products supported by the team
- Qualifications,KnowledgeandSkills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. - Preferred 3-5 years' work experience as a product analyst, business analyst, or other technology related areas such as project management/delivery.
- An innate curiosity and a strong sense of empathy for users; you genuinely want to solve their problems.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills; you can juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work well under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the field of product management.
- Natural problem-solving abilities and a high level of attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of all MS Office tools (Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Basic to intermediate skills for data analysis (SQL, Power BI, Databricks)
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Experience writing user stories, requirements, or technical specifications.
