Administrator, Database

POSITION SUMMARY:

Database Administrator reports to the Sr. Manager, Database Platforms. He/she has extensive knowledge of various database technology, database concepts, in various database platforms in our product portfolio such as relational database management systems, graph, online analytical processing. The role requires expertise in replication, backup, recovery, MS SQL Server and database systems instance optimization techniques. She/he must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remain current with industry trends to advise and advocate solution approaches for database systems to meet growing business needs
  • Document database products and tools solution decisions
  • Assist in the evaluation process and recommend database management system (DBMS), and third -party products. 
  • Design highly available database solutions across multiple Database Management Systems/Platforms and Operating System environments
  • Design and implement data movement solutions such as replication and ETL processes.
  • Lead or perform complex database instance and query optimization 
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend database technologies, tools and solutions that meet business needs
  • Key contributor of collecting, documenting, and maintaining database systems and tools configuration requirements and instances.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration
  • Preferred experience working in large, cross-functional teams in a globally diverse model
  • Experience with AWS/ Azure a must
