The Royal Caribbean Group’s Technology Team Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Technology Finance, Financial Analyst to the Director, Technology Finance, Growth & Digital.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, Florida.  

 

The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

 

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst position supports the RCG Loyalty program and other Technology areas as needed.

 

This collaborates closely with project and operational leaders to handle project financials, risk, and opportunities. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining effective financial processes and controls. The role includes creating and delivering effective financial reports that enable timely decision-making and are compliant with RCG’s policies and procedures.

 

The role will coordinate with many levels within the organization to gather, analyze, and summarize relevant information to create / maintain budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans. In addition, the role will be maintaining continuous contact with operating and capital groups to keep current with business developments and incorporate changes into the forecasts and plans.

 

The Financial Analyst will perform all aspects of financial and administrative support functions, including planning, reporting, accounting, and business analysis for the Loyalty program and Technology organizations.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets, including five-year strategic plan.
  • Track financial spend for capital projects and update forecasts.
  • Interact with product/operating teams to ensure timely and accurate project plans and forecasts.
  • Analyze month-end variances and submit explanations timely to management and accounting/finance organization.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, including re-classes, accruals, prepaid entries, and amortization schedules.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reports for operating teams and management teams.
  • Ensure department invoices are monitored and coded appropriately based on chart of accounts.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and presentations as needed.
  • Organize and conduct meetings with key project and operational leaders to review budget status, monitor scope commitments, and escalate potential risks promptly.
  • Act as the departmental liaison to Accounting, Corporate Planning, and other departments as needed.
  • Partner with Key Project Stakeholders to prepare required financial support for Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) submissions & CAR amendments.
  • Support overall technology organization financial goals/objectives.
  • Incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to automate processes/tasks.

 

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-4 years related work experience with medium to large-sized company, including a strong background in business/financial planning & analysis.
  • I.T. Finance or technology-related experience highly preferred.
  • Experience applying finance and accounting principles is essential.
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. GAAP adherence required.
  • Technology-related experience highly preferred.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organization, verbal & written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with team/function members across all levels within organization / externally.
  • Intermediate or above skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms a plus.
  • Experience using data analysis, reporting automation, or query tools (such as Power Query, SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar technologies) to improve efficiency, standardize reporting, and/or support decision-making is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Results-oriented team player.
  • Excellent writing and presentation creation skills including presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with tasks assigned.
  • Must be able to type proficiently.
