Position Summary:
- Product lead for the ad server and campaign management platform within RCG’s Media Network group. Owns the end-to-end roadmap that enables the business to plan, deliver, and optimize external advertiser campaigns across RCG’s consumer-facing surfaces
- Represents the Media Network’s needs within the broader RCG media/ad platform roadmap, prioritizing features so the platform supports campaign management and ad serving at scale. Sits at the intersection of engineering, media operations, sales, and ad tech, translating commercial and operational requirements into a cohesive product and defining what gets built, in what order, and to what standard
What you will build
- A scalable ad server and campaign management platform that evolves as surfaces, formats, and commercial models change across RCG’s external advertising ecosystem
- Features and integrations that let campaign managers activate, optimize, and report on complex campaigns without disrupting the advertiser or passenger experience
- A structured roadmap, including requirements, prioritization frameworks, and release plans, that keeps engineering and operations aligned as the network scales
.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Development
- Own the product vision and roadmap for media/ad platform features that support Media Network expansion and management, setting direction, prioritizing, and sequencing delivery against commercial and operational priorities
- Represent Media Network requirements and keep them aligned to the broader media/ad platform roadmap
- Define and maintain product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications, translating advertising business needs into clear briefs engineering can deliver against
- Manage the backlog in Jira or a similar tool, leading grooming, sprint planning, and acceptance testing with engineering
- Partner with design and engineering to deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences for campaign managers and other platform users
- Drive core ad serving capabilities: trafficking workflows, targeting logic, delivery pacing, frequency management, and asset management
Cross-Surface Ad Serving and Integrations
- Ensure the platform can serve or orchestrate ads across all RCG surfaces (digital, onboard, app, etc.), with the right infrastructure for each environment
- Work with channel owners and engineers to define integration standards, ad formats, and delivery protocols for each surface
- Identify gaps between current platform capability and the surfaces, formats, or targeting approaches the business wants to bring to market, and plan to close them
- Identify, evaluate, and own integrations with external ad tech vendors and data partners
Advertiser and Commercial Enablement
- Partner with sales and commercial teams to understand advertiser needs and translate them into platform capabilities that make RCG an easy, compelling media partner
- Manage the product implications of new advertiser formats, packages, and go-to-market models, ensuring the platform supports commercial commitments
- Serve as the product authority with clients and partners on platform capability, data connectivity, and technical integration
Delivery, Measurement, and Stakeholder Management
- Partner with the Head of Partnerships, brand leadership, and senior digital leadership to align on Media Network strategy and delivery
- Lead planning and release management with engineering, and manage risks and dependencies across workstreams, flagging blockers early and bringing clear options and recommendations
- Keep media operations, sales, finance, and technology aligned on what is being built, when it will land, how it fits the broader media/ad ecosystem, and what it will unlock
- Define and track KPIs with data and business analysts, using product analytics and dashboards to identify opportunities and optimize the platform
- Run post-release reviews and feed learnings into roadmap planning, documentation, and future iterations
- Stay current on ad tech, media, and digital product trends, bringing fresh ideas to the platform
Qualifications:
Experience
- 5–8 years in product management, with a strong track record in ad tech, media technology, or digital advertising platforms (ex. Koddi), ideally with exposure to ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, or campaign management tooling
- Proven record owning a product roadmap end to end, from idea to shipped feature, while managing competing stakeholder demands and applying strong prioritization frameworks
- Experience owning an agile backlog: writing user stories, prioritizing, and partnering with engineering through grooming, sprint planning, and acceptance testing (Jira or similar)
- Experience managing third-party integrations and vendor relationships in ad tech or martech
- Familiarity with media operations fundamentals: trafficking, targeting, pacing, frequency, measurement, and the data flow between campaign delivery and reporting
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to accelerate product management work, such as research, discovery, requirements writing, and prototyping
Skills and education
- Strong commercial instinct: understands what advertisers care about, how platform decisions translate into revenue, and how advertising businesses work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using product analytics to drive decisions
- Technical fluency to work closely with engineering, translate commercial requirements into clear briefs, and join architectural conversations
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, able to distill complex product and technical decisions into clear narratives for engineering and business audiences
- Ability to balance multiple workstreams and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
