The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst on the Finance Team reporting to the AVP of Technology Finance.

 

This position sits on-site in Miami, FL.

 

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include the design, implementation, and development of reporting and analytics solutions. The candidate must have strong understanding of data analysis, the ability to create visualizations and the ability to deliver the results of the analysis in the form of a story/recommendation.  This individual is capable of working under minimal supervision. He/She will be responsible for interacting with various departments within Royal Caribbean to find, consolidate & manipulate data from multiple large data sets; to analyze and understand results; and to create reports, presentations and/or dashboards. This role will also lead special projects related to finance objectives with results being reported to Senior Leadership.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, and develops Data Visualizations using at least one of the following programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Custom Visuals, and R Visualizations. 
  • Influences business decisions through analytics and identifies actionable, data-driven insights.
  • Makes recommendations and influences the direction of the business by effectively communicating results of analysis to a cross functional group as well as department executives. 
  • Meet with business stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements and develop solutions.
  • Works autonomously and with little direction to complete assignments, coordinating business processes and projects based on the outlined strategies and defined directives. 
  • Aggregates large data sets in Excel and other analytical tools for analysis.
  • Performs research and analysis on large data sets - data exploration, trending, modeling, etc. 
  • Works with management & other team members to understand & clarify data analysis and reporting needs. Provides guidance and insight on data visualization options for reporting. 
  • Creates dashboards, automated reports, report templates and presentations providing an easy-to-understand output for end users to quickly identify key themes within data.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly reporting on business trends.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Four-year Bachelors degree preferably in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Economics /Analytics/Business/Engineering or BS/BA with combination thereof and related analytic work experience / and/or relevant certifications. 
  • 2 years of work experience in finance, data analysis, data mining, business case development or other related analytical projects. 
  • Strong proficiency in query/reporting tools, Advanced Excel, Tableau (or similar visualization tool), R/SAS/Python, or other statistical tools. 
  • 2 years of work experience required, with experience performing either strategic analysis, financial analysis.
  • Experience working with very large data sets.
  • Understanding of Forecasting, Data cleansing and Transformations. 
  • Experience working with databases, including JDE, Oracle (including EPM), SQL Server, and AS400. 
  • Ability to work independently to implement solutions with minimal guidance and communicate effectively with both business stakeholders. 
  • 1 year of Microsoft Power BI experience. 
  • Understanding of Forecasting, Data cleansing and Transformations. 
  • Dashboards, KPIs. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, organization, verbal & written communication skills.   
  • Advanced analytical skill set including critical thinking. 
  • Must be detail-oriented. 
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills for interacting with external and internal partners and delivering recommendations and results to senior management. 
  • Results-oriented team player. 
  • Must be able to work under tight timelines, prioritizing assignments as needed.
