The Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Cruises Ltd brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Financial Analyst reporting to the Director of Destination Management Finance, Analytics, Contracting & Compliance.

 

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida

 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing the Turnaround budget, supporting the month end closing processes and providing financial analysis support to the operational teams. Additional areas of focus include assisting in the development of analytical tools to help improve the forecasting process (e.g., excel models and data analytic dashboards), financial tracking of KPIs, and supporting various ad-hoc projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the operational Leaders to produce accurate forecasts, record and analyze actual performance and identify plan of action to address variances.
  • Creates and maintains accurate reports and analysis.
  • Create the month-end closing process and ensure entries are calculated and recorded accurately.
  • Lead the development and implementation of benchmark reports for operating groups.
  • Support brand initiatives and ad hoc projects as assigned. 
  • Be department liaison with stakeholders.
  • Responsible for submitting the operation forecasts and plans.
  • Provides support for accruals and other month end entries to be submitted to accounting.
  • Develop detail variance explanations to plan and forecast for variance analysis review.
  • Creates/develops tracking tools.
  • Prepare presentations for Leadership.
  • Has ownership of P&L lines, responsible for variances to forecast.
  • Must maintain good relationships with Operations team to manage risks and opportunities to forecast.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of work experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling required, proficiency with Microsoft package. 
  • Proficiency with data analytics visualization software like PowerBi.
  • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel. 
  • Must have the ability to think independently and explain complex solutions in a simple manner.
