Sr. Analyst Corporate Planning

Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven, self-starter with the ability to identify company performance improvement opportunities and turn these opportunities into actionable insights for our senior executives through rigorous analysis of financial data and meetings with different stakeholders across the organization. Ideal fit will be an individual with outstanding communication skills and intellectual curiosity, as our group relies on communicating effectively with departments throughout the entire company, as well as strong analytical skills as the insights we drive require analysis of complex financial data.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the analysis of complex data, with strong experience in gathering actionable insights.
  • Identify improvement opportunities while displaying creativity, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Uses financial analysis and other quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess a broad array of business issues and distill them into key items and proposed actions.
  • Communicates with different departments and senior leaders across the company in order to develop new insights and work cross-functionally to help drive performance improvement projects.
  • Builds and develops presentation decks and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau which clearly communicate the team  s findings and potential impact on the business.
  • Gathers and distills competitive information and market analysis to create ideas and recommendations that may involve changes to the company’s operating practices and market focus.
  • Develops strategic insights based on internal and external data and business analysis, including but not limited to analysis of markets, customers, and businesses.
  • Supports financial modeling improvements in planning and forecasting to enhance efficiency, support new initiatives, and accurately capture changing business environments.
  • Assists with developing and packaging financial presentations for quarterly board of director meetings and quarterly earning calls.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or other technical discipline required; MBA, CPA or CFA distinction preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of finance or consulting work experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills and can think strategically about the cruise/hospitality business.
  • Highly advanced communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure.
  • Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Tableau.
