Sr. Analyst, Incident Management

POSITION SUMMARY (Onsite in Miami, Fl)

The Senior Analyst, Situational Management assesses and assists in developing and/or enhancing of crisis action planning and information management process, such as establishing an Information Collection Plan; developing products like Sit Reps, Spot Reports, and Incident Action Plans as well as a Senior Leadership Brief; and facilitating other planning activities to support the emergency response and emergency preparedness for shoreside and shipboard operations globally.

The position is key to establishing organizational situational awareness concerning emergency response and emergent risks in conjunction with the Global Intelligence Team and the Manager, Situational Management, as well establishing response to imminent weather events while communicating with the company’s meteorologist.  Therefore, the incumbent will monitor local events and identify those that can affect the company to notify relevant stakeholders. 

The incumbent holds the primary responsibility of managing the Incident Response Center under the direction of the Manager, Situational Management (Incident Commander) to ensure the Incident Command Systems (ICS) are implemented to manage critical incidents or natural disaster effecting the Royal Caribbean Group.    In this role the incumbent may be directed to assume one of the ICS positions to include that of the Deputy Incident Commander or Incident Commander.  Upon conclusion of an event, the Senior Analyst, Situational Management will consolidate and prepare After Action Reports and brief Company Executives and stakeholders as directed.

The incumbent will work in tandem with the Manager, Response Care Group, when personnel deployments are being considered and/or personnel are deployed, to ensure the effectiveness and accountability of the deployable assets.  Additionally, the incumbent will coordinate training exercises implementing IRC response protocols for shoreside and shipboard assets.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline or directly related experience.
  • Proven analytical and/or situational management experience with major corporation, public service or private sector.  Maritime experience preferred.
  • Must be well-versed in current technologies and open-source search methodologies.
  • Experience in providing expert analysis to executive leaders in support of the organizations mission.
  • Overseas work experience, travel, and professional network development is preferred.
  • Experience in Everbridge or other Notification and Event Management System preferred.
  • Experience in working within a Global Security Operations Center, as part of a crisis response group, or leading teams preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in coordinating projects across multiple departments or in big teams is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in incident/situation management and understanding of the FEMA ICS Process.  ICS 100-700 Certification a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in the utilization of personal computers within a Windows environment including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and related printers and equipment as well as Incident Management/Event Logging systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of employees and management in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills to provide quality work with minimum direction.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Have an interest or direct experience in the following: Executive Protection, Intelligence, Operations, Critical Incident Management or Corporate Security.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, clients, guests and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to manage diverse projects concurrently within strict time constraints and work well independently.
  • Strong grasp of regional affairs and corporate security concerns.
  • Highly organized in record keeping and maintaining internal and external communications
  • Experience working with various security technology (i.e., cameras, access control, etc.).
  • Experience with Everbridge or other Event Tracking Systems is a plus.
  • Solid ability to multi-task, prioritize and time manage.
  • General proficiency with all Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong written skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
  • Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations.

  • Ability to attend training events that fall outside normal work hours.
  • Ability to work atypical schedules, both days and nights.
