Position Summary:

The Workforce Strategy & Movements (WSM) Team at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for the scheduling, onboarding, travel, and expense management for all crew members working on the entire Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises fleet. This is an immense 24-7 operation that encompasses over 200,000 crew movements each year. The overall departmental budget is over $200M and we are required to be as cost efficient as possible and provide our financial partners the visibility they need.

 

The Senior Analyst, Workforce Strategy & Movements (WSM) will be responsible for familiarizing and integrating themselves into the overall WSM operation.  Sr. Analyst must fully understand all KPIs, goals, deliverables, financial commitments, provide analysis and make recommendations when applicable. The Senior Analyst will support the various teams with analytical data and visibility on their targets while providing insight and guidance on improvements and/or efficiencies that can be made for overall improvement. This role will meet with directors and other upper management weekly or bi-weekly to ensure targets are being met. In addition, this role will also support in the development of analysis, presentations, and communications to Senior Leadership on overall departmental progress.

 

The candidate for this role should be analytical and maintain a strategic mindset. Constant improvement must be front of all minds at all times.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the oversight of financial operations and planning for Workforce Strategy & Movements

  • Analyze spend trends for air, hotel, and transportation ihigh-volumeme ports, provide strategic insight and recommendations for cost efficiencies.

  • Maintain and create PowerPoint Presentations for Senior Leadership on KPI’s, saving initiatives, and overall business performance.

  • Identify operational and/or market efficiencies where WSM conducts business that may provide operational and/or cost improvements.

  • Support and identify outlying situations that will cause unfavourability in movements such as natural disasters, last minute operational support, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferably in business, hospitality, finance, accounting, analytics or similar/equivalent experience will be considered

  • At least 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience in an operational, HR, finance, or analytical field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work well as part of a collaborative team

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with professionalism and discretion

  • Experience with constructing and meeting project deadlines

  • Demonstrated collaboration with internal stakeholders 

  • Demonstrated experience preparing communications and presentations upper leadership

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or related writing and presentation software

  • Strong Excel/Analytical skills.  Ability to work with various formulas, create pivot tables, graphs, and more.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Bi-lingual: Spanish speaker preferred but not required

  • May be required to travel a few weeks out of the year.

  • Required to be flexible for meetings outside of normal working hours with internal stakeholders around the world
