Sr Analyst, ESG Reporting

Position Overview

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a talented, passionate Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) professional to join the team in Miami, FL. This position will primarily focus on supporting the execution of RCG’s ESG reporting objectives and strategic priorities, including the annual ESG report, responses to investor inquiries, raters, rankings, and analytics questionnaires. The ideal candidate understands the current ESG reporting and rating landscape and has worked with publicly traded companies on their ESG/Sustainability reports. The successful candidate can provide leadership, communicate effectively, and build relationships with all levels across the organization, exhibiting high degree of initiative in problem solving and time management. This position will work closely with cross-functional business partners, including Environmental Stewardship, HR, Finance, Legal, Audit, Supply Chain, Corporate Communications, and others.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the company’s annual ESG report, and all activities associated with its production and publication, including the tracking, validation, and reviewing of ESG data and information.

  • Prepare company responses and support data review, validation, and correspondence to key questionnaires &/or surveys such as DJSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, Refinitiv, etc.

  • Support response to CDP survey in partnership with Environmental Stewardship team.

  • Support continuous improvement of RCG’s ESG reporting practices through research, gap analyses, and internal process improvements.

  • Conduct regular gap assessments and peer benchmarking on RCG’s ESG reporting (ISSB, SASB, GRI, CDP, TCFD, UN SDGs) and ESG Ratings (DJSI, MSCI, Sustainalytics, Glass Lewis and ISS).

  • Conduct benchmarking on reporting best practices, gap analysis against new reporting requirements, and support and contribute to RCG’s ESG reporting development roadmap.

  • Track advances, best practices, and trends in ESG & corporate sustainability, as well as regulatory and compliance policy updates across global markets, and develop communications of key findings for internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor, track, and record progress against ESG strategic plans and programs, targets and KPIs.

  • Support ESG team with implementation of strategic plan and emerging priorities.


Knowledge and Skills

  • Driven, self-starter who is passionate about making a positive impact.

  • Talent for project management, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data and translating it for a variety of stakeholders.

  • Effective in conducting research and synthesizing information for senior leaders.

  • Thorough knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) guidelines, The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations, CDP, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

  • Familiarity with Audit processes, SOX controls, external Assurance and Verification

  • Must be comfortable managing multiple priorities and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding analysis, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.


Experience and Education

  • 3-5 years in sustainability/ESG management, non/financial reporting, or a directly related field, in a corporate setting or with a sustainability consulting firm.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Accounting, Finance, Sustainability, or a similar field

  • Experience in financial reporting, internal audit procedures, corporate and GHG accounting a plus.
