Royal Caribbean Group’s Safety, Security & Environment has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Sr Analyst, Business Systems reporting to the Director, Safety, Security & Environment
Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Business Optimization plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across the Safety, Security & Environment (SSE) department. This position is responsible for managing key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting financial oversight, supporting shipboard positional fleet optimization, and enhancing data management and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze the monthly reporting and validation of departmental KPIs. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.
- Drive shipboard positional fleet optimization for all SSE shipboard positions. Act as the primary liaison with shipboard and shoreside teams to ensure program alignment and effectiveness.
- Coordinate and develop schedules for Security, Public Safety Officers, and Environmental crew members, ensuring optimal coverage and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with HR to ensure all required documentation for crew members is accurate and renewed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with HR operations to ensure all travel is secured and confirmed for all upcoming crew movement for SSE Department.
- Assist in the management of departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking. Provide analytical support for cost optimization and resource allocation.
- Support strategic initiatives and departmental projects from planning through execution. Ensure timely delivery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes.
- Develop and maintain robust data systems to support SSE operations. Generate reports and dashboards that inform decision-making and drive performance improvements.
- Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. Prepare and deliver clear, concise updates through PowerPoint presentations and Word memos tailored to various audiences, including senior leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience minimum in business analysis, strategy, or operations, preferably in a safety/security/environmental context.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and Excel.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives.
- Proficiency in developing executive-level presentations and written communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Will exhibit mature and responsible decision-making, problem solving and proven judgment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
- Self-driven to continually improve and actively work to bridge gaps in their knowledge in order to add more value to a particular project or setting.
