The Royal Caribbean Group’s Corporate & Incentives Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Incentive Sales Specialist to the Corporate Sales Senior Manager.

 

The position is onsite and based in Miami, FL.  

 

The position is also not eligible for work authorization sponsorship.

 

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Corporate & Incentive Service and Event Planning, ensures that incentive business materialize by providing all Pre-Sailing requirements, and ensure all onboard programs are requested and confirmed prior to contract being signed. In addition to pre sailing of onboard programs, the Incentive Sales Support Specialist will support incentive sales team with amendments and revisions of existing contracts. The Pre-Sale specialist position requires a skilled, creative, and knowledgeable event specialist Individual to perform the following tasks:

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for securing the venue space on board for all Incentive and large contracted groups, during the Pre-Sale stage. Monitoring 24 hours turnaround from vessel, to fulfill turnaround of contract.
  • Liaison with other Departments: Hotel Operations, Entertainment, Food & Beverages, Casino Operations, Onboard Revenue, Marine Operations, etc.
  • Advisor for the Incentive Sales Desk representatives as well as Sales Rep, BDM, CSM and travel Partners or Corporate clients in need of support in the event planning aspects of their programs.
  • Main point of contact for Incentive Houses or expert Event planners requesting information on: Ship Specific- meeting space capacities and measurements, conducive venues, alternate functions, time, or venues, etc.
  • Responsible for the Conference Call program (in case is reactivated); scheduling and monitoring weekly calls to the vessels to review Incentive programs, ensuring the appropriate charges, amenities are entered according with the contract, costs and guidelines in place.
  • Lounge AffairWhere system empowerment comparable to those of an RSS or above to enter or remove Replications.
  • Records keeping of unexploded sailings and procurement of approvals prior to contract.

 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from an accredited college or university and 2-4 years of related experience and/ or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
  • Two years of experience in high volume call center or customer service environment required.
  • Experience with AS400 or similar reservation systems required.
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.
  • Prior Group experience and AffairWhere system including replications. 
  • Ability to work in a call-center environment and to continuously answer telephone calls using headphones.
