The Royal Caribbean Group’s Silversea Entertainment Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Specialist, Entertainment and Production reporting to our Senior Director, Entertainment.
Position Overview
Working closely with the Senior Director of Entertainment, this position ensures that the business aspects of the department operate smoothly and in accordance with established guidelines. The coordinator supports the Senior Director in overseeing overall operations, contributing to the success of the Production & Entertainment department through efficient administrative processing and coordination of shipboard activities. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for overseeing and supervising all travel, logistics, and operational needs for the Production department, ensuring seamless execution of all related tasks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Fleet Production Manager to ensure costumes and other show requirements are ordered and budgeted accurately.
- Coordinate with the Fleet Production Manager, agents, and HR scheduler to ensure smooth turnover of crew.
- Communicate with Cruise Directors, Production Managers, and other relevant personnel to ensure all new policies are implemented and followed.
- Assist the Director in producing presentations for both internal and external use.
- Assist in planning onboard entertainment programs and activities, ensuring program quality and content meet or exceed standards.
- Ensure all operating manuals are current and up to date.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Entertainment and VP of Hotel Operations to ensure all Entertainment CARs are submitted and processed.
- Oversee the Silversea Production holiday program.
- Analyze ship rating results in collaboration with Manager & Director, recommend corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement.
- Assist the Director with annual and monthly budget forecasting and planning.
- Oversee the gift and prize program, bringing in new and creative ideas. Work with procurement to ensure ships maintain proper stock levels and orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Oversea Silversea Libraries
- Assist with payroll budgets, including annual budgeting, expenditure tracking, and forecasting.
Qualifications and Education
- BA or equivalent high school education
- Three years’ related business experience, preferably shipboard or cruise line office position.
- Full professional proficiency in MS Office package in Excel, Word, Power Point, Notes and Outlook and Intermediate skills in Access and Visio
- Good knowledge of world geography
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and external contacts.
- Understanding of travel restrictions, including international visa & inoculation requirements, and procedures for obtaining.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated and able to take own initiative.
