The Royal Caribbean Group’s HR Strategy has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Manager, Workforce Strategy & Planning reporting to the Senior Director, Global Business Services.


This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.

 

Position Summary: 


The Senior Manager, Global Business Solutions (GBS) Strategy & Planning is responsible for identifying the organization’s location strategy to support business growth, operational efficiency and cost management.  The Sr. Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess business needs, evaluate geographic options, and provide strategic recommendations regarding viability of locations across the globe.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the director in the design, planning and execution of workforce location process and strategies. 
  • Analyze global market trends, labor availability, cost structures, infrastructure and regulatory environments to recommend optimal locations for business operations.
  • Develop business cases for new locations, outlining financial, operational and strategy benefits
  • Partner with HR leaders to forecast talent needs and resource allocation. 
  • Partner with global real estate, information technology, facilities and other shared services to consider impact and implications of global location strategy.
  • Develop location productivity analysis; across all roles and locations.
  • Support recruitment and retention efforts in key regions by ensuring location decisions align with talent market dynamics.
  • Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses of potential locations
  • Conduct risk analysis of proposed locations and provide recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Ensure that the workforce planning efforts are consistent across regions. 
  • Partner with real estate, finance, business operations and HR to ensure location strategy aligns with business needs and priorities.
  • Support the creation of accurate workforce models.
  • Deliver data-driven recommendations on workforce and location strategy. 
     

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Degree in Business related field, Masters or MBA preferred
  • 5-7 Experience in workforce planning, data analysis, and strategy development. 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the cruise industry
  • Ability to translate overall business vision and objectives into tactical strategies and executable plans
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong self-starter with an ability to navigate successfully through ambiguity
  • Proven ability to proactively look and think ahead, going beyond obvious needs
  • Demonstrated ability to generate strong, compelling presentations to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong project manager with transformation and change management experience
  • Ability to empathize with stakeholders and focus on transitioning work and positioning GBS to provide high quality services.
